Absolutely! We're both bad with #s so having special lights and/or items in our window makes it easier to find our room when we're exhausted and can no longer process information such as room #s.

This year we're going in Dec so we definitely plan on lighting up not only the window but the room. It is the Xmas season after all!

I'm bringing this topic back up!! So, do you all decorate windows? I'm thinking it might be fun to add a little pizazz to our room. Smile

We haven't but Mousekeeping has used Blondie's toys to decorate ours! They had her "babies" hanging from the curtains watching for her return from the MK!

I decorated our door on the cruise, does that count??? LOL

Mr Hub, you got my pic under control??? waiting rolling

If there is an occasion or holiday, we decorate, flags, lights, banners, etc. Here is our rooms for 4th of July. It was also the last tuition paid celebration or as other people call it, graduation.

If we ever go over Christmas (meaning the actual holiday, not just the season), we'll probably do a little decorating. Otherwise, no.

Definitely! We go during Halloween, which is by far my favorite holiday. I am still working out a plan for this year, but I am leaning towards a Nightmare Before Christmas theme.

No but now I'm inspired to! We're going during the Christmas season this year so maybe I'll get some clings for our window or door.

Normally we've got BW Birthday cards and our anniversary cards up around the rooms.

Decorating your room is another way to get gifts from Disney. Never expect anything, but you never know. Sometimes they'll surprise you.

I've been looking up other people's pictures online and I'm so inspired now!! And cruise pictures DO count because I reeeealllly want to do a Disney Cruise in the near future. I have to figure out how to decorate a window that is two-adult-only friendly. Hmmmm... Puzzled

Oh man, I want to go to Disney for Christmas time SO bad. If we ever do I will decorate that window and door like craaaaazzzzy! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas and my house is decorated everywhere. Even though summer is my favorite season Christmas is without a doubt my most favorite time of year (come January 1st and I'm finished with the winter though). Now I just have to be willing to part with my family for Christmas.

I've done every holiday at WDW except Thanksgiving Day and Xmas day. Hard to get away from the family and hard to get them down there.

I once flew down on 12/26 and that was nice because we didn't get that post Xmas let-down.

For our 25th anniversary we took a short strand of white Christmas lights and a big "25th Anniversary" sign to put in the window. It was really easy to find our room with the window all lit up!

Just a quick admin note here for DVC members - mickey

While decorating the interior of your rooms is fine, decorating the exterior of your room (such as the balcony) is specifically disallowed by the DVC Contract. They have recently been cracking down on this, especially at Christmas-time. No exterior lights, trees, or blow-up decorations are allowed on the balconies.

I can understand that. I can see it getting out of control and being a fire/safety hazard.
