Do you find you get up earlier as you get older?

Recently I've been finding it much easier to get up earlier and much harder to stay up late. I wonder if this is just me getting older or what? It's actually both handy and a problem at WDW. If we want to do something late I'm almost always pooped. But I think mornings are the most consistent time to get the parks to yourself so it's been an asset in that way.

Did/Does anyone else notice their internal clock shifting as they get older?

Without question. I've become a full blown morning person, and I actually like it. I like to be up, making coffee, checking my on-line haunts and the news, etc., while the rest of the city (it seems) is still asleep.

However, my tendency to wake up early hasn't really affected my ability to stay up late. Though now that I think about it, my version of late may not be late at all (midnight).

At WDW it can be advantageous, because I'm able to stay out relatively late and still be up early the next morning. Of course running on little sleep requires a nice afternoon break which I always welcome, since we don't do "commando" anymore

Granted, I'm only 32, but when I have off from work during the summer I'm up to 3 every night. I don't fall asleep so easily and so am up late every night. If I could, I would start school during the year at 10 am.

Maybe it'll change as I get older, but it seems like I actually stay up later the older I get!

I still have a tough time getting up, but I can't stay up later than midnight or so. Maybe once in a while when I'm working on a project or reading a good book, but otherwise -- nope!

Maybe I'm just digressing into needing more hibernation time!

Yes! I think my inner-clock has always done me well..usually I can pretty easily adjust to whatever time I have to be up..but more and more I like being up earlier. I have that same sort of feeling Imgaineer does..I like being up and enjoying my nice quiet house. It gives me some time before my crazy day starts.

I'm starting to understand why I'm the only one who posts on here late at night!

The question begs: What is older?.
I retired over 10 years ago. I no longer have to get up for anything other than Jan's Dr. appointments. We never make them before 11 AM, if it's our choice. We get out of bed any time we feel like it. That is most often between 8 AM and 9 AM.
I don't remember ever wanting to get up before then, but of course I had to when I was still working.

And how often do you bring Jan breakfast in bed? You seem like a breakfast in bed kind of guy biggrin

Wh...what....what?? Sorry I dozed off. I have found that compared to when I was in my 20s I'm just pathetic at staying up late. When I was younger I'd pull all nighters, get a couple of hours of sleep and be fine the next day. Now that simply sounds ridiculous.
