Yeah, that's my default position and I have to have a compelling reason to abandon it. This sign is right up my alley! biggrin

I don't know why I was complaining. VL is a good problem solver!

LOL, need to make sure we get our recommended daily allowance.

Not knocking anyone's decision to enjoy the arches. Used to eat there, swore them (and most fast food in general off) when I read Fast Food Nation (the book that preceded Supersize Me).

We like the arches for breakfast, but we prefer to get our trans-fats at Whataburger for dinner Wink

Don't think I've had Whataburger, I've had some of the other highly touted fast food burgers though like Blake's and my favorite In-N-Out. I don't have a problem with fatty foods in moderation, long as they're prepared with quality (ie fresh) ingredients. For example, I'd rather have a cup of ice cream from somewhere around here made the same day from farm-fresh ingredients than some processed junk even though the local (good stuff) has several times the fat.

edit: Way off topic from the original funny McDonald's sign, sorry.

Whataburger is good, but In-N-Out is better. I heard recently they're coming to Dallas! clapping

Luuucky! That's one of the few things I really miss about the West Coast.

It's a good sign that In-n-Out have started expanding faster. I bet they will be over to the East coast in not too long. I wouldn't mind being able to feel superior for a little while though. They've had them forever in California and it made me feel so jealous!

I would be the first in line if they did, but I'm not sure that's going to happen. According to the Wiki, it is a decision based on the fact that they only use fresh ingredients. All of their restaurants are within a day's drive of their SoCal suppliers.

I wonder if that's just marketing-speak. I'd think they could find other suppliers. Maybe it's just a convenient excuse for some other reason they weren't ready to expand.

Yeah, there could be another explanation. I do believe it is not something they would need to make an excuse for though. They've been around a very long time and have been successful as long as I've been around.

Maybe they just didn't want to say "We're rich enough already." laugh
