Drinking around the world on Friday, help!

Alright, so I just had a friend of mine turn 21 and to celebrate we are drinking around the world on Friday. I'm looking for input and would like to know what you're favorite alchoholic beverages in the showcase are. I have a decent idea of what I want to grab while we are there but what would you all recommend?

My current drink selections:

Mexico - Margarita Flight
(Food: La Cava - Chips and Salsa)

Norway - Carlsberg Beer
(Food: Kringla Bakery - School Bread)

China - Mango Gingerita

Germany - Altenmunster Oktoberfest Beer or Berentzen Apfel

Italy - Italian Margarita or wine
(Food: Tutto Gusto - Bruschetta)

America - Red Stag lemonade

Japan - Green Tea Amasake Mist
(Food: Teppan Edo - Sushi)

Morocco - Sultan's Colada

France - Grey Goose Citron Lemonade Slush
(Food: Les Halles Boulangerie - Pastries)

England - Leaping Leprechaun
(Food: Yorkshire Fish Shop - Fish and Chips)

Canada - Le Femme du Monde

Definitely do the Italian Margarita in Italy...delicious! I'd also switch out the tequila flight in Mexico for an avocado margarita, but I'm a big margarita girl (can you tell? biggrin )

haha I appreciate all the feedback, I'm not a big fan of avacados though. As far as the rumplmintz goes, I have it here at the house and lets just say the bottle hasn't lost a drop in over a year. Way to strong for me to do straight. And yes I know it's gonna be hard for a youngin' to handle but it's a right of passage when you turn 21 to get so drunk you remember it forever.

I'm just busting on you DJ, most of us have done this. Seriously, have fun, just respect the people around you. It is Disney World!

I couldn't drink all that in one week at Epcot, never mind one day.

If you happen to find yourself at Les Chefs de France, I recommend the kir. It's one of my favorites anywhere. I'm not sure whether they sell it at any counter-service locations, except during the Food and Wine Festival, when you can get a sparkling pomegranate kir, very nice.

If it were me, I would try to find a German riesling and an Italian pinot grigio or chianti. I'd definitely wander over to the Japanese shop's sake bar and see if they still have the Wakatake. And if they have it at the pub in England, I'd get a gin and tonic. (But not all in the same day!)

It's an all day event and drinks shall be paced lol. As far as the wine goes, epcot actually offers a wine walk which I would love to do and plan on doing in the near future but this event I'm looking for a bit more variety.

Yes, know when to say when...I have yet to make it to canada from mexico without skipping countries. 11 drinks is still 11 drinks and even with a good base that can lead to alcohol poisoning. Be Smart and enjoy yourself. Hungover at WDW is no fun at all. yuck

Hi. I have done this three times, twice with my husband in December and once for my hen (bacherlorette?) party in July.
July was much harder because of the heat/de-hydration so I did start to feel a bit wobbly by the end!

So we start Canada and end in Mexico. (I couldn't do it if I started with Tequila shots Sick )

Canada - Cold Canadian beer

UK - Guiness from the Rose & Crown

France - Champagne

Morocco - I think we had wine

Japan - Sake

America - Beer

Italy - wine

Germany - Mulled Wine

China - Rice Wine

Norway - Beer

Mexico - Tequila

Some tips from a pro
1. Take your time. We do this over about 9 hours (midday to illuminations at 9pm)
2. Keep hydrated (water!) and find shade to sit in while drinking
3. Make sure you eat at the halfway mark (Burger and fries at American Adventure for us) or snack as you go.
4. Remember beer is much less alcoholic than wine and spirits (there is no way I could do 11 cocktails - too strong!) so mix it up.
5. Split drinks with others in your group (saves money too) it is not about quantity consumed it is about quality of the experience. There is no way I would have shared my glass of champagne in France but happily split a 16oz beer in America.

Did you mean NOT remember it forever??? wink
I'm with Mr. Hub. I get the experience, and I do drink at Disney, but please be considerate of others, especially families who may not be having that kind of fun.
Disney really needs to bring back a Pleasure Island type area with an atmosphere more conducive to rowdy loud behavior. I don't have a problem with the drinking, it's the obnoxious inappropriate behavior that I witness too many times in a family oriented park .

Have fun and be safe, I agree with the staying hydrated, it's hot down here right now, and alcohol will dehydrate you quickly in this heat. I've had some bad experiences with alcohol at the beach.

Haha! At least we have each other to keep us sane! I had some friends suggest local places that make non-alcoholic margaritas but it definitely was NOT the same. It just tasted like a slushy...boo! sad

Yeah, I don't really like overly sweet drinks so I'm pretty sure an overly sugary lime slushy is all it would be. waiting

Follow the shot of Rumplemintz with a spoonful of Hershey's syrup!! Tastes like a York peppermint patty.

I got a little ill reading your list, but I think I could have done it at 21! Now I'm strictly a "beer around the world" girl. Good luck!!
