I'm not going to a park on my arrival day, and am trying to decide what to do for lunch. I keep on changing my mind about where to eat. I do have a $15 voucher for Planet Hollywood that I got with my package, but nothing on that menu seems that appetizing.
I could always use one of my meal credits at Wolfgang Puck Cafe, Raglan Road, or Cap'n Jacks. Or should I just get a CS meal somewhere?
Some may disagree, but I think eating at a Planet Hollywood in WDW is nearly criminal! 
Raglan Road however is pretty highly recommended, and I say if you're just getting to WDW you go with table vs. counter service. Get that nice relaxing first meal!
Are you traveling with anyone? Where are you staying?
If you're not dedicated to DTD, you could do Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club or go to one of the hotel food courts. At DTD there's always Earl of Sandwich (it's great!). 
If you go to Wolfgang Puck Cafe, let me know how it is--I've only been to Wolfgang Puck's Express. I like Raglan Road a lot, but check opening times in case they just serve dinner.

I have nothing against Planet Hollywood, but if I'm in Disney I'd rather use a meal on something Disney-ish...probably because what I eat defines like 80% of my enjoyment of any trip.

Do you know, I've had that PH voucher several times and never used it! I wonder how much money they save on folks like me.

As the "resident food expert" (LOL) I would like to add my two pennies.
One of my favorite counter service eateries at Downtown Disney is Earl of Sandwich. It's apparently a lot of people's favorites, too, because it is often crowded. I think it's also on the dining plan. The food is fresh, tasty, and reasonably priced.
Captain Jack's Clam Bar, located in the Marketplace near the water, is an underrated though expensive gem. It's one of those places, like Mama Melrose's at Disney Studios, that's hard to find unless you're looking specifically for it. On Friday, December 12, 2003 at a litttle after 5:00 pm EST, after a planned ADR fell through, I walked in alone without a reservation and was seated immediately. Like many WDW eateries, Captain Jack's has a limited menu. I started my meal with a thick, delicious bowl of New England clam chowder, tore through a plate of seafood pasta and finished with a deliciously moist chocolate lava cake. Angie, my server, was attentive and knowledgeable. The bill came to $42.00 including 20% tip.
I actually like Planet Hollywood. While I agree with Brad that he'd rather eat at a more Disneyfied place, I think the placing of the DTD restaurant inside a globe is rather unique. The nearest Planet Hollywood to me is about 50 miles (80 km) away in Atlantic City, New Jersey, also known in some circles as "Vegas East". The $15.00 voucher that comes with a Magic Your Way package, comes in handy.

I really like Earl of Sandwich, too, but the only times I've been there the line has literally been OUT THE DOOR! We waited longer for a sandwich than we did for any rides that week!
My favorite meal at DTD is probably Goofy's Candy Kitchen! Ha ha!

I have to agree that 15 bucks is 15 bucks, and you're going to be spending a lot of money during your visit, so take the free money. And the food at Planet Hollywood has improved over the last few years. Also, even though it's a chain, the Downtown Disney PH is certainly unique.
I also like Raglan Road, but a word of warning -- this isn't traditional Irish fare but rather more stylized and creative. And there's not a thing wrong with that.
I stumbled into Raglan Road the week it opened and really enjoyed it. I'm still hoping they expand their menu a bit, though.

Traditional fare is not very often found in WDW. Sometimes as you say, "stylized" is best although depending on which Irish dishes, I might prefer the traditional.
