I know the feeling..

Ditto!

For me Hall of Presidents, and yes some of them were jerks but I am constantly amazed at the vision of the founding fathers saw in building a country without a pattern, and this wonderful presentation narrated by such a wonderful actor is a powerful reminder. I get goosebumps when Lincoln does the GA (and my kids say I mouth it with him), and as an English teacher, I find it one of the most lovely written pieces of prose I know. I tear up with the flight of Tinkerbell, and as someone else said, the Earth in Illuminations showing all people as equals and knowing that we can do a lot better, but we at least see it and admit it. The Lion of the FK has some of the most incredible music and we have seen it sooooo many times. I cry as I leave every time (I tell the family I am sweating) because music can have that kind of impact on the soul.

Oldtink I agree with about the Hall of Presidents. I am a history junkie and anything about our country gets to me every time. I also make sure I see the show The American Adventure. I am with you regarding the Festival of the Lion King. I start crying as soon as Rafiki announces the birth of Simba and it's down hill from there.

Well to be honest..I never discovered WDW until 2004. And after five vacations I feel very fortunate to be visiting this year on our 6th visit..Now in my 60's...I think this may be my last trip..

Well, that just made me cry! Even if it is the last, Disney will ALWAYS be with you. It was about 15 years between visits for me. I can still remember details from those long ago trips (even though some of the memories are fading, I have them!!!) Photos, trip reports and more keep you connected to those memories even more than ever before!!!

Now that I am remarried to an amazing man who cares for both me and my daughter I feel very fortunate that we get to do these things! I know there will come a time when we can't go anymore and it will be heart breaking but I just keep smiling and making memories to last a lifetime!

Wish I could come down while you are there. You crack me up on here and I know it would be a blast!!!!

Ah, as my dear departed father-in-law used to say, "I may not be able to do as much as I did, but I'll be damned if I won't keep trying!." This was while using a walker and other tubes coming out of him, so if he can do it at 86, you can still ride a few rides and cry a few tears! My dear DH will be 60 when he goes the next time and our friends will be 68 are beyond excited. You may not do what you did before, but you can always buy a magic cookie and cry at the Festival of the Lion King!

I do wish our trip overlapped the meet and greet. I know a Welshman(my DH) and a Scots(best friend) ( by ancestry only) that you might lift a beer with and find the laughter joyful.

Fergus, 60 is the new 40. I plan to be shuffling around the World at any pace I can muster, for as long as I can. Benches are for people watching, and all those young ones darting everywhere will be great entertainment as I savor a Mickey Bar.

Heck, they already are......!
