Entertainment for Seniors

There are some things at Disney that only seniors can really fully appreciate. For instance, while at Epcot in May, we found out that the Village People were performing. What fun! The audience was clapping, singing and having a great time. The guys in the group were interacting with the audience and having a ball themselves. Davy Jones performed also. Remember the Monkees? These kinds of entertainments are fun for us oldsters and we appreciate them. Disney seems to take care of us. After all, we were the very first members of the Mickey Mouse Club!!!

I am strongly hurt by your implication that only seniors can "fully appreciate" The Village People or Davy Jones! Is my "Cowboy" outfit less striking than yours? Is my Davy Jones poster less compelling? I hereby challenge you to a "YMCA" dance-off!!!

Well,CDub, since I've never seen your "Cowboy Outfit" (and certainly hope I never do!!!) I can't say if it's more or less compelling than mine. However, it's a pretty sure bet that you were never a Mickey Mouse Club member or received their magazines. I, being as old as dirt, was not only a member, but had a huge crush on Mouseketeer Bobby Burgess who was the chief dancer on Lawrence Welk as an adult. Such good taste!Having lived as a teen through that era and the VP era, I say that I appreciate those older entertainments on a different level altogether. You can appreciate them for the high level of great musicality they have. I'm sure you are a connoisseur of good music or you wouldn't even know who Davy Jones is, much less be such a big fan.
