Epcot F&W Festival Must Have's

So we will be going during the festival and I'll finally be able to enjoy it since I'll actually be 21. Sooooo what are the must have treats and drinks? I'm not really a beer person, more of a girly fruity drink type of gal. And defiantly no seafood...or lamb...haha

ahhh! so exciting! well, they won't release a detailed menu until closer until the event, but I'm sure we can give you some ideas for drinks! Personally, I like both the drinks in France, the Grey Goose Slush and the orange one (who's name escapes me at the moment). Also, against everyone else's judgement, I love the margaritas in Mexico. You get quite a bit for the price and they are pretty strong, which isn't bad in my book. laugh laugh laugh

If Hawaii is there again, their Mai Tai was great & the Kalua slider.

I love the Grey Goose Citron Slush in France, it's there year round though, not just at F&W.

I'm not sure that I have a must do for F&W Festival, there's so much to sip and taste I can't pick just one think! Just try a little of everything! I think last year I went back to the Morocco booth several times for food. The Desserts and Champagne booth is also one of my favorites!

I have to say the one drink I go out of my way for every year is the Dragonberry Colada....it is usually around the Puerto Rico/Argentina booth area...and when the Dragonberry Colada isn't offered I think there has been a Cherry Colada, which is nearly as delicious!

As far as my "must have" food items every year I would say is the Maple Glazed Salmon at the Canada booth...but if fish isn't your thing I would recommend the Kefta and Falafel at Morroco....sausage at Germany is always a "must have"... Oh the Mustard that come with is soooo good!.

Have fun!....thanks for sparking my fire for 2012 F&WF Smile
I can't wait to get back now!

here's a couple of tips for the F&W in general:

1. since it's just gonna be you and your boyfriend, only order one plate at each place you guys want something from. that's what me and my boyfriend did last October and we're really glad we did or we would've been so full! if you decide you want more, you can always go back!

2. take a few of bottles of water. eating so much all day will make you thirsty and even if you plan on drinking the specialty drinks & beer, you'll still need some water to stay hydrated in the FL heat.

hope those help! I just remembered how much those helped us when we were there!

My favorite last year was the chipotle chicken sausage with sweet corn polenta at the Canada booth. The Caribbean jerk-spiced chicken drumstick was also tasty. If they have either one of them again this year, give them a try. Most of my other faves involved seafood. Also, I never got around to trying it, but the sparkling pomegranate kir at the France booth looked delicious.

Warm Chocolate Lava Cake with Baileys Irish Cream Ganache in Ireland is a favorite of ours. For drinks, try the Welsh Dragon and English Rose at the Rose and Crown Pub.

If I might offer another general tip, avoid F&W on the weekends(Friday night and all day Saturday). WS gets very crowded with the addition of locals. No lines for lunch, during the week.

Have fun!
