I know this was talked about on a thread but I can't find it. But one of my friends shared this trailer.

Well that's disturbing. I won't be seeing that movie.
It's not endorsed by Disney and filmed inside Disney parks without permission.
That explains a lot. Still very disturbing.
I wanna see it personally. I still cant believe they got away with it. If I remember right... he shot there, and then he was kicked out... but was still able to finish it and come back again. I find it very interesting.

Ok...me too.. I am curious....... I will be going alone though, Amy hates scary movies.....
I don't do horror films, but even if I did, I don't want any movie to tarnish my happy place.
Seems a bit wired and twisted, and although I'm a massive movie nerd, I think I'll give this one a miss.

I usually love Indie films, but I will be skipping this thinly veiled "conspiracy theory" BS!
No thanks! I will keep my precious Disney memories the way they are...I think seeing Spaceship Earth explode did it for me...or at least I think that's what blew up.

I agree why can't people just keep the magic of Disney in the parks????
This movie just seems strange based off the trailer. Maybe creator may have had a traumatic experience in Disney.
according to the Today show interview he wasn't. He had loved Disney and gone all the time. He did it from the perspective of his wife who was not born American
They were playing a clip from this on my cable station last night. I just don't think I can bring myself to watch.
I was curious to see if it was playing anywhere near me. I had to laugh at the official movie site. They have a counter on site "NUMBER OF HOURS SINCE RELEASE THAT WE HAVEN'T BEEN SUED:"
http://escapefromtomorrow.com/
That whole website is weird! (Although I did laugh at the countdown )
Did anyone else actually see it? I'll admit that my curiosity got the best of me, but it wasn't playing anywhere near us (closest was Columbia - 1.5hrs away), but for less than the cost of gas and a movie ticket, I downloaded it on iTunes. The movie was awful. I hate the "horror" genre anyway (though I don't think I really classify this as a horror film--it's not scary at all), but I'm a story girl and the plot was absolutely non-existent. Nonsensical subplots, gratuitous nudity, and special effects for the sake of special effects just begin to scratch the surface of this movie's flaws. What I WAS intrigued by and did find interesting was some of the camera work, the black & white shots of the parks, and the actors' ability to add intrigue to a film with no actual story. There are definitely points when interesting things happen and seem like they might lead somewhere, but then the "story" jumps somewhere else and we never actually explore the point that was very dramatically set-up. I couldn't stop watching because I was intrigued by what might happen, but the conclusion did nothing to tie up any of the stories that the film had sort-of tried to explore. Any other thoughts?

It was never around my area either... It looked like it was going to do a quick jump to DVD but I
don't see it in any of our local stores.....I appreciate your thoughts on the photography/video part though..
from an artistic view, I'd still like to see it...
In case anyone is interested, this 'movie' is in Netflix right now... All I have to say is: WTF?! I wouldn't call it horror, but it was so wacky and dark it freaked me out a bit... I really just watched it for the WDW scenes, but I can't unsee the weirdness that 'took place' there...

Agreed. I wonder if it's possible to edit the iTunes version that I have and take out all of the "story" and the actors performances, add nice background music, and have it be a cool black and white montage video because the photography is the only good thing about this "movie".

Haha I was thinking something along those lines as well!
I read up a bit about this and the director did a lot of guerrilla shooting in both Disneyland and Disney World, only really being rumbled when he did multiple takes of an entry to one of the parks. The CM who'd agreed to be filmed allowing the family through twigged when the director asked to do more than one entry. They used DLSR cameras to film the lot and took the colour out to make it seem more sinister. To his credit, or perhaps in a moment of madness, Disney did allow him to release the movie rather than refusing permission to release so they must have seen something in the movie, or figured it was so freaky that no one would watch it....!
Yes, that's me in the profile pic...kudos for guessing the movie...
I started watching it last night just to see what the fuss is all about. I must admit, I think it's kinda neat. I'll watch any movie that features WDW in it.
its a strange concept - being in the happiest place on Earth during possibly the worst day of your life. It's interesting to see how it all falls apart for this guy but it is very strange! I might never look at Snow White's wicked queen in the same way again...!
