Is Fantasmic still a Must-Do?

This used to be an every-trip thing for us, but I'm not so sure it is anymore. Is that sacrilege? I wish I could see the Disneyland version; that dragon looks so cool.

I don't think it is a must see thing every trip, but the last few times we were there, it was not showing when we had time to see it. We will see it this time, Sunday night. The friends we are taking never saw that before.

I usually end up going only when I'm introducing someone to Disney World. That happens every other year or so, and that's enough Fantasmic for me. I love it, but the hassle of getting there early, sitting and waiting for an hour, etc. is just too annoying to go through on every trip. Time is money!

We don't get to go to Disney often enough to skip it. It is a pain in the ass before hand (well, feet -- well ass too - the benches kind of suck), but it's well worth it as it IS a great show.

The not every day schedule does make it much harder to get to though.

Yeah it sort of sucks that they cut back on the shows, but I would rather them do that then cut it altogether like they are doing with the streetmosphere characters in DHS.

Agreed. At least show it once in a while; it is a really great show. While we don't go on every trip, every once in a while we get a fantasmic hankering -- the music is amazing.

Yeah I've never quite understood the logic there. Is it just really expensive to run so they wanted to cut back? At the time we all speculated that it was so it wouldn't compete with American Idol or that they were going to replace it with something, but now I just feel like it was a straight cutback.

I think it's probably the best show, they just make it so much effort to see. A lot of times I can ride RnRC and ToT like 5 times while everyone's stuffed in there.

I really like Fantasmic show and absolutely must to see during our Disney trip. It is really Disney's amusement show. There are lots of characters and superb scene! My all family members also really loves it and do not feel hesitation to waiting in line.

Best Regards,

I haven't been to WDW without seeing it. I wouldn't be crushed if I did not see it on our next trip, but unless there's a good reason why not I suspect we will catch it while we're in the neighborhood.

I used to think it was an every trip must do. Now, we haven't done it in about 5 years and I miss it! We are doing it this year for sure!

I'm going to go with no. In part, because I've never seen it Smile Ugh. I just hate waiting in lines for shows.

I'm with you. We haven't done it yet either and we want to do it... Just don't know when.

The first time we went we waited in line forever and it was awful...I said NEVER again! We've done the Fantasmic package and that was nice..but we also just like waiting for the 2nd show (which I don't know if they do that anymore) when the lines are a lot shorter.

I believe they had a second show when I was over there the day Star Tours opened. That might be something to consider.

We've actually never gone - typically during our trips, the show only happens once, MAYBE twice, and it's never worked out for us to be in DHS that day. It's on the top of our list for things to do on our next trip though, even if we have to schedule out our entire day to ensure we'll get there.

For those of you who have not seen it, it really is a must do. It really is very cool. It is the show that probably amazed me the most the first time I saw it. The lines are long as is the wait but worth it to see it at least once.

Okay Scrappy. I'll put it on the list, I promise. And maybe I'll leave the baby at home with a sitter. Smile

This thread has got me thinking that we will probably want to see it this year because Holden would LOVE it..but I am thinking should we book Fantasmic Package? We've done it before and we liked it but I would hate to book it and then the boy have a bad day and we have to cancel.

Disney with kids..it's going to be a whole new game isn't it?

It is. And it will be fun. Just different. Remember to pack your patience Wink

I think the package is the way to go with kiddoes. Now I really want to do this, too! I think JustCar's cheer has something to do with it.
