I checked with mr.hub who is down there now and he said you can us the old fast pass machines you just have to use the key to the world card which they still give you on check in even if you have a magic band. The only catch is since it is hooked to your pass you still can't get any fast passes till the ones you scheduled through fast pass plus are used for the day
You shouldn't have to ask for them. The old machines are the ones where you stick the card in and fastpass comes out.
