Fastpass to see Mickey

Posted on the disney parks blog on facebook is an article discussing fastpasses being issued to meet Mickey at his new home this spring in Town Square Theater. It will include an interactive queue. You'll get your fastpass for a one-hour window. It doesn't say if it is considered the same as a ride fastpass.

Interesting, but if it's eating up my fastpass for a ride, Mickey can wait. mickey

We usually only grab characters if there's not much of a wait. For all those poor kids waiting in endless lines I'm glad they can have a fastpass option.

YES! Hopefully the Princesses will follow suit when they get their new digs, too. I almost cried when I saw how long that line was.

Same for us. As much as I love it, I couldn't stop a kid getting to interact with them.

Also, seeing the characters is such a big deal to many kids so it would be good that they can get a "guarantee" on them.

I know..we usually hop in line if the line is short and skip it if it is too long..those lines to see Mickey can be CAHrazy. I'd be interested to see how this one goes..isn't this how they will be doing the new Fantasyland rides..like Dumbo? I remember reading something about waiting without waiting in a line.
