FastPasses at MK 4-7 window. Elsa & Anna sabotaged my AK! LOL Help!

Elsa & Anna sabotaged my Animal Kingdom Day! yuck

Disney Family,

We secured Fastpasses the other night, 60 days In advance. wink Saturday through Friday, Oct. 10-17.

On the last night, we're going to the MNSSHP. So happy and excited. It's our first trip to Disney World! mickey

Anyway, wife was able to secure a FastPass for Anna & Elsa on Friday between 4 & 7. Yes! clapping

However, we were ideally planning to go to Animal Kingdom that morning. So, for doing this, I had to sacrifice all my fastpasses because she was able to nab the Elsa & Anna. We do NOT have park hopper.

My question is simply this.

If we go to Animal Kingdom that morning and then later travel to Magic Kingdom at 4 p.m. to gain access through the Halloween ticket, will our Fast Passes scheduled from 4 to 7 be active, or will they have cancelled due to us attending a different park earlier that day and without a park hopper?

Will going to Animal Kingdom cancel our coveted Elsa & Anna FastPass+ ?

Hope to hear back, love all your wisdom folks!

Eric in Oklahoma

I don't believe you can have fast passes at two different parks for the same people in one day, until you use your first set. Then you can go to the kiosk and get fourth at a different park.

Mind you I only have an undergraduate degree in Fast Pass Plus as I've only been studying for a couple of years in my spare time. You may require the services of someone with a Masters or PHD.

As far as I know, this can only be done with a park hopper. All three must be used at the first park and then you will be able to get another one at a kiosk at the second park. Without a park hopper, I do not think this is possible.

I checked the site because I wanted to verify what I said:

"If your ticket includes a Park Hopper Option, after you use your initial FastPass+ selections at one park, you'll be able to make additional FastPass+ selections at a kiosk (one at a time) at the second park you visit that day, up to park closing."

I believe the issue is not getting FP+ at AK, it is will the MK passes be cancelled when they enter AK on a non-park hopper?

I dont know the answer but I believe that is the concern.

So you want to use the day's park admission at Animal Kingdom with no FastPasses used there. Then you want to go to Magic Kingdom on your MNSSHP ticket and use your three FPs there.

Call WDW and ask.

I'm thinking the answer will be no because FPs aren't available during the parties. But you never know.

Oh I see. I read that all types of wrong. I agree with CCP. biggrin It is an odd situation with the party and all plus the non-hopper. I would call WDW directly for this.

If you have the park hopper it will for sure be a non issue since you don't have FP+ scheduled for AK in the morning. If you don't have the park hopper and are only using your MNSSHP admission at MK, I would THINK it would be ok but I would still call Disney to check. Because it all can be linked to your magic band I'd be a little concerned that it might show up that I'd already been in a different park that day.

You are all so wonderful for chiming in and talking it out.

So, to bring this up to speed.

No, I don't have fast passes for Animal Kingdom. Yes, I wanted them of course. But that was thrown aside when she got the FastPass+ for Elsa & Anna at 4 p.m. on Friday, the night of our MNSSHP. I can only have Fastpasses for one park per day. Hence, no Park Hopper.

So, for a base ticket, I am allowed to enter Animal Kingdom that Friday morning, though I will not have use of any FastPasses.

Ok, bear with me...

So, technically, ticket holders for the party are allowed to enter the park at 4 p.m., even though the party doesn't start until 7 p.m.

The park issues and still honors Fastpasses until 7 p.m. for all guests. They do not issue Fastpasses after 7 p.m. for anyone.

So, my question still stands. I am using my base ticket to enter Animal Kingdom. I have a ticket for the party that gets me in at 4 p.m. I have FastPasses on my MDE at this time until 7 p.m., including the coveted Elsa & Anna.

I just don't know if I can go to Animal Kingdom that morning, and for some glitch reason, my Fastpasses for MK that afternoon during that window, will be wiped out for some reason.

We really want to visit Animal Kingdom, we have never gone. But I would feel horrible if the kids missed out to see Elsa & Anna. It's also our last night, so all bets are on the table here.

the combined knowledge of all the frequent visitors on this forum don't know the answer...pretty magical. I bet if you called Disney they wouldn't even know.

I do not know the answer to this either but I agree, I would call. I also agree, I am not sure that who ever you speak to on the phone will know for sure. My thought is that it is going to void your FPs for the Magic Kingdom once you enter Animal Kingdom. If you had a park hopper I do not think it would be an issue. However since you really can not use FPs for the party I think it allowed you to book them using your park tickets and not your party ticket. I think it will void them once you enter Animal Kingdom.

I agree with everyone that said to call Disney and ask since it's a unique situation. If you go to AK in the morning the only reason you could enter MK at night is because of your party tickets. My guess would be your FP+ wouldn't work at MK if you'd already been to a park that day, even though the FP+ is before 7pm.

I don't know for sure, but I don't think people that only have party tickets can make FP+ selections the night of a party. If you go to a park that day before MK, without park hoppers you are in the same category as a person that has party tickets only.

I'll echo the "call Disney & check" sentiment. In fact, call a few different times on different days and see if the answer is the same. My best guess is that your FP selections are going to be ok. I don't think that the system is sophisticated enough yet to wipe them out because you entered another park when you have no park hopper to use those FP selections later.

Be prepared that you might have some minor trouble with your MNSSHP ticket not allowing you to get in because you don't have park hopper. I know that was a problem when they rolled out the system initially and I still don't trust it. Have a screen shot or a paper copy or something with you as backup just in case. mickey

Update:

I called Disney. Thank you everyone for recommending the obvious first choice. clapping

The online CM told me that it will not be a problem. The system does not recognize the difference between park tickets and fastpasses.

I am glad it worked out! My only suggestion is to call once more to speak to someone else just to be sure. It can't hurt to double check and that will ensure that there are no surprises when the special day comes.
