Favorite Disney Film of ALL Time?

Thinking about how much I love the Pirates franchise as POTC4 comes out today, I wondered: what is your FAVORITE Disney film of ALL TIME? It can be animated or live action. Why do you love it?

This is a tough one... each one of my favorites is a favorite for different reasons... ummm...

If I have to go with my favorite of all time then I have to go with Lilo & Stitch. Why? It is the most different film I think they have ever done. No princess's in it. Its not a fairy tale that has been done before or a story that has been written. It is just purely brand new about a broken family and an alien who becomes best friends with someone who needs him the most. If you go deep into the movie, its just beautiful. Plus... Stitch is sooooooooo funny!

I really enjoyed Lilo and Stitch, I think it's under rated.

I think I may pick The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh as my favorite.

The Lion King! I love animals and lions are my favorite species.... so that's why I love it. Plus all the songs are fantastic and the voice cast is amazing. I can't even count how many times I've watched this and I pretty much quote it word for word.

I'd have to say "The Little Mermaid." It was the first Disney princess movie I was introduced to and I wore the VHS out! It always had to be on no matter what! (My poor 14 year old uncle who had to babysit me!) I just love that she would risk anything for love! And I love the music!

I would have to say Toy Story...the reason why is because when the movie first came out, I was so against it because it was computer animated..I am an old fasioned guy and I hated the fact that a computer was taking over hand drawn animation. Anyway I went for a long time not wanting to give the movie a chance..well finally I went to the theater to see it just out of curiousity...I was completely blown away! Not only did I LOVE the movie and think it was wonderful in every aspect ( animation, story, characters, etc)..I came to truly love computer animation too...especially Pixar animation. So I went into the theater that day expecting to see something mediocre and lame, but was completely blown away by this truly great flick...a movie that started the long run of Pixar masterpieces!

Gosh, awesome answers! Uh oh, I want to know more....soo.....

Mase - I've never seen L&S, but now I want to, thanks to your comments. It sounds like a great story.

Brad - LOVE WtP! Will you see the new one this summer?

Shonkiesgirl - Did you see African Cats this spring, the DisneyNature flick? If so, how was it?

Macdamron - Love LM! My daughter would quite agree with you!

CarJust - Oceans was beautiful and thought-provoking. Any particular reason it's your fave?

David - I agree! I didn't see TS til long after the fact, and then I thought it was brilliant.

Bella/Brad - LOVE Mary Poppins! But some of it makes me cry.

Did you have a bad experience with a Chimney Sweep?

Bahahahahaha! Funny Bella.

No, it's the lullabies, and the "Feed the Birds" song. I dunno why. They just make me cry. And the whole "leave the kids when you love them and they love you" bit.

.

Yes, I went on opening day to see African Cats. Amazing film. Such beautiful animals and an awesome story crafted around two different species of big cats raising their young. Besides Ocean, this is def my favorite DisneyNature film so far.

Alice in Wonderland. I've always been in a world of my own, too.
