A life preserver at the unloading side of Goofy's Barnstormer is the "Ya-Hoo-Hoo-Buoy".

Okay that is gross.....

Old Tink, I think that is a reference to the sound goofy makes when he falls or trips or flies in the air, it's not meant to be something gross.

It's a digital book from Amazon, although I would assume it is paper version. Looking....looking....tablet turning on....

walt Disney World Hidden Historyby Kevin yee

I find it rather interesting because it brings back some earlier memories of rides and experiences.

Yeah, I'm a bit puzzled at that reaction too. Who going to Disney hasn't heard the Goofy Holler? They even use it in films he's not even in.

Ooooh! I forgot about this one!

The funny thing is, I forget about this fact every time I'm in Epcot too. I've never looked across to see if I can spot the ToT when I'm there. I only remember this fact when we're already home and I start planning our next trip. THEN I remember I forgot, yet again, to see if I could see the ToT behind Morocco. laugh

We've looked from Mexico and you can see it right on top of the building in Morocco and it fits right in. Now, that is what I call attention to detail!

Here's a photo that shows this detail. This is looking across World Showcase Lagoon from Mexico towards Morocco with the Tower of Terror in the background!

Sweet photo, Ken! I always mean to look for this. And I always forget! sad

Sorry, that is because I teach middle and high school. In the midwest, "ya hoo-hoo buoy" is in reference to something I won't print here. I was not aware that was something from Goofy.

I live in the Midwest and have never heard anything like this ever refencing something inappropriate.

I don't have any myself but I must say I really like the ones referring to how buildings were designed and/or painted to blend in with something completely different to keep with the theme. That sort of detail is one of the many, MANY small details that makes Disney so special.

The Roy and Minnie statue in Town Square. Minnie's hand is on top of Roy's hand because Roy was supportive of Walt and had helped Walt put his dreams in perspective.

Walt has the only Window looking at the castle.

The entrance to Magic Kingdom is tilted so that way when you leave the park it doesn't take as much energy to leave.

Town Square Theater was built to size to block out the Contemporary once you were inside the park. The train station is also built to size I believe and acts as the curtain so you can't really see what's inside the park. The queue for Space Mountain goes under the train tracks.

If you go to the back of Center Street, the street between the Confectionary and Crystal Arts, you can hear a piano lesson going on.

Only a few of the attractions in Magic Kingdom opened with the park including Country Bear Jamoboree and Prince Charmings Regal Carousel.

So many it's more regional than where you live? I wasn't grossed out initially for no reason.....

Since people have tried to steal Madam Leota, there is a rather large drop between the ride track and where she is at. Either Pirates of the Caribbean or Haunted Mansion gets the average guest closest to the utilidors without going on a tour or just going back stage.

I absolutely love Roy & Minnie. They move this statue around Town Square though and that really upsets me. They frequently move it in order to make room for character photos near the flag pole and I find it HUGELY disrespectful.

I've only seen it moved during Christmas time for the tree. I don't think they move it for characters.

My past 4 trips (February, June & October) it had been moved over to the side for events such as the Halloween Party and Limited Time Magic Character Meets. I'm not sure why it was moved during the February trip, but it was. I always check.

I was absolutely thrilled a couple of months ago when a friends tweeted me a picture showing me that it had returned to its proper place. muchlove
