Favorite Magic Kingdom Land

DW and I were arguing about what "land" we'd want to live in if we lived in the Magic Kingdom. Nerdy? Yes. But that's just us.

Which land would you guys choose??

Main Street USA all the way! I'd live right above the bakery!

I agree with Bali on this one. If I could choose to live in one, it'd be Main St. USA for sure. Everything you'd need is right on your block, and if you want to travel to another "land", you have a railroad station right down the end of your street. laugh

Tomorrowland is one of my favorite places in all of Disney World, so I'll have to choose that. I don't think I could ever get tired of sitting and relaxing in Tomorrowland...

I voted Main Street USA. You have all the shops right there and the best places for people watching!

Imagine being able to open a window in "your" second floor apartment on Main st. and enjoy all the people watching you care to partake in, as well as all the other sights, sounds, and smells (bakery, popcorn etc.) that would be great.

How can the answer not include "Splash Mountain?" You're all confusing me so! laugh

I think I'd have to move into Minnie's house. I'm so sad that the "proposed plans" for the Magic Kingdom would mean that Mickey's and Minnie's houses would be demo'ed. Boo hiss!

I chose Fantasyland because I can't get enough of that It's a Small World tune...

No, I chose it because what could be better than living in a fantasy?

I'm hoping someday to be the 1000th person residing in the Haunted Mansion so I had to vote for Liberty Square!

I voted Tomorrowland. I really enjoy all of them, with Main Street USA being a very close second. Reason I chose Tomorrowland is it's home to some of my favorite attractions like Space Mountain. Also, for some reason, this area holds vivid memories for me. I can still remember what it looked and sounded like walking up to (and through) the arcade next to Space Mountain at DL when I was a kid.

Hey Marzyar! Just about time for your Disneyland trip, right? (Or am I totally confused? silly )

You can live on the corner between Main Street and Tomorrowland -- then you're in the perfect location.

yep, good memory. My WDW trip in may went south and I haven't felt like getting on here. I'm hoping for much better results for trip #2.

Hey Marzyar! Glad to see you again. I hope your mishaps last time don't affect your enthusiasm for the Disneyland trip. It's your first time there correct?

Yep, first time to Disneyland. Na the May trip shouldn't put too much of a damper on things (Besides the fact of just making me nervous about this trip) May was just a wake up call for me on my health and general well being.

Yay! Another tomorrow-lander! Aren't you bummed that Space Mountain won't be open this fall? We're working on a trip in Oct and I'm really going to miss this ride.

Welcome back, Marzyar! Having heard snippets of your May trip, I'm almost POSITIVE this one will be better. Have you guys been planning a bunch, or are you going to take-it-as-it-comes this trip? mickey

Very bummed. That's one of my favorites and is on par with PotC for the amount of good memories it brings. Just entering the queue makes me happy. This was the first "big kids" ride I ever went on.

I'm pretty disappointed about this one, too. sad DW and I love the queue for this area, and we're concerned that they're going to take away the dark lines section and make it all interactive. We see the space mtn queue line as a little sensory rest in our day!

laugh Now that you mention it, it might be really cool to live on Tom Sawyer Island in Frontierland. Or, now that I'm thinking about it, on the Riverboat clapping Has anyone ever seen the little "cabin" they have in there? It has a bed and a little desk....I think it's supposed to be where the captain sleeps or something. Very cool.

I have to agree. I am a little anxious that they are going to make the queue too interactive, and not enough dark relaxation like it was/is.

Yeah. It was always a nice, welcome break from the craziness of Magic Kingdom. crossfingers crossfingers

Adventureland is great, but I think if you like Adventureland you'll love Frontierland.

Good that you put Splash Mountain first!
