Final Big Decision! Help!

After speaking with my travel agent/Disney Vacation Specialist girl ( mickey ), I'm down to 2 choices with the Summer Discount. Keep in mind both of these were around $3,400 before the Summer Discounts were announced!

1) Standard Room at Boardwalk Inn, park hoppers included. $2,637.10

2) Standard Room at Animal Kingdom Lodge (CLUB LEVEL!), park hoppers included. $2,881.74

Aaahhh!! Man does this put me in a predicament. For all those who haven't been reading my previous threads, I'm looking to surprise my girlfriend with a week-long trip to DW for her birthday! And....I'm *most likely* going to propose too! So I want this to be mega romantic. I'm about to put the $200 deposit down so I figured I'd shoot my final question and big decision here. Before...I was down to BC and BWI, but then I threw out the Beach Club and just when I thought I'd settle on BWI...my travel girl throws this amazing price quote at me for AKL, club level! And then she told me that all club level rooms at AKL have savannah views! How incredible.....

Should I go for room quality, further away from the action in AKL? Or be right up-close and personal, within walking distance of Epcot and DHS and go for BWI? The price difference is close enough where I could really choose either one of these.

If this helps....we were planning on spending more than just one day at either DHS or Epcot because of the close distance from the Boardwalk area. And I have:

1 ADR in DTD
1 ADR in Epcot
2 ADRs in DHS
1 ADR in MK (breakfast)
1 ADR in Poly (ohana)
1 ADR in Contempo (cali grill)
1 ADR in AK (breakfast)
1 ADR in AKL (boma which was worrying me wondering how we're gonna get back to our resort since AK will be closed..)

Thank you so so much, I love you guys!!

Well there are a lot of AKL fans on this site, and it is a gorgeous resort, but sometimes I think location can be really important. The Boardwalk is VERY nice too, and there is an awful lot to do there (especially at night). I think if it were me, I'd save the extra $240 bucks and stick with the Boardwalk. Plus, I'm not usually in the room enough to really take advantage of the Club Level. Good luck with your decision!

To me it's a no brainer AKL all the way.

After that thread about the resort you didn't want to leave the most....a STRONG majority of the answers were AKL. That right there makes me think that AKL is an incredible resort.

What's the big fuss about club level anyway? Is it really worth it?

If your getting AKL at Club Level and Park hoppers for that price, you better grab it and run ! How many nights is that for?

BWI = less time spent on a bus = more time for romance

Seriously right? The price dropped so much I was like smiling ear-to-ear. I'm going to reserve it with the $200 deposit tomorrow.

It's $2,881.74 for 6 nights, AKL Club level, park hopper tix included. (Airfare, dining, souvenirs, etc. are extra)

I was just looking at some photos and reviews of AKL and its club level benefits and stuff, and i'm like 90% sure I'm gonna go with it.

I'm sorta anticipating a return back to the resort from like 2-5 so the Kilimanjaro Club will give us stuff to munch on and stuff, as well as a nice pool and nice room.

BIG QUESTION!! What are the chances of us getting a nice savannah view if we go club level?!?

We stay at AKL every year and it's great. We've never stayed on the club level but I have friends who have and they said it was great. Plus that's a great price for it. And I'm pretty sure all the savannah views are good.

Oh, I wish that I could answer your questions better. I adore club level at AKL, but I'm DVC so my chances are 50/50 Savanna view or pool view. Honestly from the 6th floor, I think the pool view is better, but that's just my opinion. Breakfast on the club level is always a nice nosh to get you going in the morning, the espresso is good, and the chocolate croissants and fresh fruit are just to die for. When I come home from vacation, missing that breakfast spread is one of the things I complain about most. Why oh why don't I have a butler to make me breakfast and coffee every morning?

Exactly... thats a no brainer. Yeah... BW is cool and close to everything but the bus system at AKL is really good. The longest we ever have to wait for a bus is probably 20 minutes and thats usually for DTD because thats super far away. They have a guy at the buses that is in talks with the drivers and can tell you when a bus will arrive for a specific place. It may seem far away, but a resort is a resort. You have to take a bus everywhere you wanna go. So in all reality... does it really matter?

i would grab the AKL for that price and if you do plan on proposing i think AKL is a little more romantic, imagine popping the question with a giraffe eagerly awaiting her response
