Final Payment Made Today!!! 44 Days to Go!!!!

So we made the final payment on our October trip and are only 44 days away. I can't believe the trip is nearly here! clapping As I mentioned, we planned our trip to attend the Food & Wine Festival, but I've been reading all about the MNSSHP so much on the forum, now I'm wondering if we should try to attend that one night while we're there. Its just my husband and me (no kids), so I'm not sure it will be worth it for us, but what do you guys think?

If you get the chance to go,DO IT, the wife and I went just the two of us and we had a blast. I would HIGHLY reccomend it. And hey, the candy haul wasn't bad either, just ask Jeff C and others that have been.

This was our candy haul from 2009 between Joe and I, if that helps persuade you! laugh

I would HIGHLY recommend going - it's a ton of fun, and the atmosphere can't be beat. It's not just for kids - we went as 2 adults (well, there is still that debate about whether I qualify as an adult...) and had a great time. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

And congratulations on that final payment!!! Your trip is just around the corner!! yay

JeffC that is quite the candy haul and definitely tempting! How were the crowds? Was it easy to get on the rides?

I think the crowds were very reasonable - they only sell a certain number of tickets to the event for each night they have it, and if you don't have the event ticket, you have to leave the park by 7:00 pm.

So I thought the crowds were very manageable and the ride lines were not bad, depending on the ride, of course.

Me and Scrappy go too! It's great. We got on the Haunted Mansion ride, no one was in front of us & Pirates had no one in the boats in front of us or in back of us all through the ride. It was like we had the ride all to our self. The parade and the ride of the headless horseman is pretty cool too!. Tip: skip the first parade and do the ride you want to do the most during that time and watch the last parade.

Yay! I haven't done MNSSHP. From what I've read and heard about, I say go for it. I'm going solo to MVMCP and I can't wait. I get in two days before my friends so the options were go solo on Friday or we can all go together on Tuesday. They didn't want to go so I'm going myself.

mrhub - that's a great tip about the parade. I didn't realize they do two of them in the same night. Thanks! Do you and Scrappy dress in costume?

JoAnn, I think going solo is awesome! Magic Kingdom is open until midnight the night we arrive in WDW, and I'm figuring I'll be heading over there myself because my husband usually can't make it up that late on our travel day. But me, I'm a die hard and my high from just being back at WDW kicks in and I can go all night!

Yay! Congrats on final payment, that is such an awesome feeling! I can tell you, I REALLY wish we had more time so I could go to MNSSHP cause I really want to but just can't seem to fit it in.. If you have the chance I would say to go for it!

Thanks. In order to swing the MNSSHP, I'll need to move an ADR. I kind of have the trip planned out already without the MNSSHP, but I'm trying to decide if its worth moving things around. We'd likely only be able to do it on the Tuesday night of our trip, and right now we're scheduled to eat at the Coral Reef at 7:15 that night, and that is the one place my husband REALLY wants to eat at because he had his all time favorite steak there when were in WDW on our honeymoon. I just can't decide. So what dates in October will you be there?

I'm there October 25th - November 2nd. I understand the ADR thing, this will be my and my husbands first time there ever and when we vacation the food is a big deal for us, LoL. I have all my ADR's booked and don't really want to change any of them... I guess, knowing that Coral Reef is the one place he really wants to go... I wouldn't change it either.. bummer..

I'm weighing in late...but totally do MNSSHP if you get the chance! The theming and extras are extraordinary. I really, really want to do it again this year...my only time, we wore out early (DD was 4 and I was pregnant...would love to give it another go now that she's older.)

Will you dress up if you go?

That sounds AMAZING JoAnn! Ah, alone time. My favorite thing in the entire world right now, with two little kiddoes in the house Smile Can't wait to hear how you enjoy it!
