I tried using a hacksaw blade. It didn't allow the precision I was hoping for.

I just saw a post on reddit that said a person at the entrance to the Magic Kingdom counted 600 Elsa's entering the park.

These were my 2012 pumpkins - I haven't had time the past couple of years to try to do detailed carving beyond the traditional easy jack o lantern faces.

Cool! I found the tiny details most challenging.I really didn't have the right tools. Sure was fun though. I wonder where to find teeny saws.

Me too.... I keep buying those flimsy pumpkin carving tools, and they keep bending and breaking on me! I found it takes a lot of time to carve slowly enough to _not break_ the tools.

My hitchhiking ghosts were only decipherable for one day --after the pumpkin shriveled it was pointless. Sad(

That, and i really had trouble with the pumpkin collapsing on itself when the hollowed out areas were too close together. Trying to carve a picture made me really appreciate how skilled those professional pumpkin carvers are that you see on the cooking segments and tv show.

I just found these things called needle files at a flea market today. A bit late for this year but they look lime they will do a good job.
