First Trip Schedule Advice?

I have been planning deeply for the last couple months and this is the schedule I think I have decided. I tried to pick theme parks based on crowd. Let me know if you think it looks right or if there's some changes for the days I need to do. We only have to do Epcot on that day as I have ADR for the Biergarten restaurant. Thanks
Saturday Arrive, check into holiday and get snacks and breakfast items at local store
Sunday: Universal Studios
Monday: Our Anniversary Character Breakfast at Cape May Cafe and Hollywood Studios for Day
Tuesday: Universal Island of Adventures
Wednesday: Epcot and ADR
Thursday: Animal Kingdom
Friday: Magic Kingdom, and Character Lunch at Crystal Palace
Saturday: Say goodbye to Disney

I think it looks good based on what I know or have read in general of crowds and parks and days.

My only comment would be the 2 separate days at Universal. In a pre-Harry Potter world, I would have suggested you only really need a day at Universal to hit both sides (Universal Studios and Island of Adventure) adequately. But with HP, now I'm not so sure. I'd defer to anyone who's been there recently.

YAY! yay

How exciting - first time to Orlando...and welcome to the boards. I think you've done a good job planning, especially with the fact that you're not planning to be at Epcot on a weekend day, during what I think will be the beginning of the Food and Wine Fest. It can get pretty packed on the weekends.

Have a great time! And be sure to let us know all about it Smile

Justcar please us know what you find out when you go I would love to do universal one day as the while reason were going there is for harry potter. My hubby and I both grew up reading the books and now as a couple watching the movies. I heard you may need two days in epcot so if we only do one at universal that would solve it.

I'm heading to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter on my way to Disney in October. I've done a lot of research and it seems the WWofHP is only a small section of Universal's Islands of Adventure Park. Depending on the time of year you are going you may only need one day at Universal to see Harry Potter. From what I've read, the crowds really die down after school starts for the year, so you'll probably be able to see it all in one day. My only suggestion would be to head over to IofA on a weekday to ensure even lighter crowds. I've heard it can get crowded on the weekends even during the school year. I'm really excited to go there. I too am a huge fan of the books (and the movies). I've heard the park brings the whole wizarding world to life. I can't wait to hear if you and your husband like it!

Me again...just saw in one of your other posts that you'll be there the first week of October. The crowds as WWofHP should be relatively light compared to other months! You'll be there only a few weeks before me. Be sure to check back and tell me how awesome it was!!

Will do, yeah I researched a ton before deciding which days to do what park. My husband really wanted to do IoA on sunday our first real day there but I pushed till tuesday so we won't have to wait and it won't be as crowded. I am a pro photog part time so I will be bringing a lot of my lenses and my canon rebel camera. I will post pics and let you know all about it when I get back.

Good plan. I take it based on your schedule, you don't have a park hopper? Keep in mind, Animal Kingdom is only open until 5:00. That would be a good night to hit Downtown Disney and do some shopping.

Joann,
No park hopper for us I booked a vacation package before I know about dining plan and other tips for this trip and the tickets included were a 3 day get two so five day for disney parks and buy two get one for universal. I think maybe well do a dinner outside the park somewhere on that day. Didn't think about it till you said that. Thanks for the reminder.
Was thinking of maybe doing medieval times as my DH has never been and were staying in kissimme, were staying on kyngs heath road , anyone know how far W. Vine Street
is could we walk? I don't know the area, just trying to plan it so its not to expensive with taxi etc.... let me know if you know or any suggestions. Thanks
