I haven't had the chance to check them out yet, so I don't have a personal opinion of the food.
I do however have an opinion of them and I think it's great. Gourmet Food Trucks are very trendy in the United States' big cities right now, however many people live in areas where they don't have them - like me. So while we get to see them reviewed on TV and have even had some reality shows about them we haven't ever gotten to try food from them. Having them located at Downtown Disney allows people to experience this "new" dining sensation. Those people can go back to cities and towns and petition for Food Trucks to be allowed where they live too.
I myself haven't eaten at the food trucks so again, I can't really judge for myself. But by the looking the pictures from the Food Blog, the corn dog and house made chips at the Fantasy Fare truck is calling for me! I love corn dogs much more over regular hot dogs! Why settle for corn dog nuggets at Casey's when I can get the real thing at the truck?
World Showcase of Flavors looks pretty good and a good alternative if you can't come to Disney during Food and Wine for whatever reason may be. Their lobster roll is about the same size you'd get at Columbia Harbor House but expensive though ($18.25! 8 bucks more compared to Harbor House's roll! ) Probably stick the sliders or pierogies for money purposes though being a burger guy, I'd be more inclined to get the sliders because I'm not a fan of the pierogi.
Namaste Cafe looks like a mobile version of Animal Kingdom Lodge food by the looks of it so you can get butter chicken and the short ribs without going all the way to AKL. But their food looks pretty good.
As for Superstar Catering, seems like they're going with a Greek/Mediterranean theme with their dishes and given the lack of Greek food, perhaps this helps fill the void a bit. I'm intrigued to try their meatball flatbread sandwich. May not be gyro, but close enough!

"All my life I wonder how it feels to pass a day, not above them but part of them.
And out there living in the sun, give me one day out there, all I ask is one to hold forever. Out there where they all live unaware, what I'd give, what I'd dare, just to live one day out there."
I forgot about the food trucks
I might be able to sneak in a snack at some point this trip
So much food and too little time. I'll get to them someday.

Agree..my 13 days are beginning to look hectic, however I do need to go downtown to get my free $250 voucher from World of Disney, so I'll grab something from Namaste..
I received word of some food truck menu updates recently from the Disney Food Blog.
Apparently, Superstar Catering shifted from Greek food to Italian-American food. Sadly no pics of their new food items but their new menu is below:
Fantasy Fare Truck added a chicken and waffles dish:
World Showcase of Flavors got rid of the expensive lobster roll and replaced with a chicken breast gyro instead. (Given the name World Showcase of Flavors, they'll probably feature new dishes periodically and change menus more frequently. No pics of the gyro, sadly.
Namaste added a samosa and naan dish, a decent vegatarian option and was probably much needed.
And they've also added a Lamb Kefta sandwich, which ressembles the former Meatball sandwich at Superstar Catering.

This all looks so darn good, and we're staying at Saratoga Spring next visit, just across the pond from those trucks. I think a visit is in order.
