Formalizing Your Personal Disney Activities

Epcot has pulled together "Beers around the World" into an advertised activity. Beers or Drinks around the World was an informal adventure I bet several of you had done for years. In fact, I bet many of you did your own version of the now formal Epcot Food and Wine activities way before the Festival was created. So I got to wondering what other personal adventures you folks may do around the World that have not been formalized by Disney, yet. Great to hear about them and give them a try. What may be standard traditions for you could be great adventures for others, and who knows, Disney may "borrow" them from you.

The Disney Food Blog has a great Cupcake Challenge that goes all over the world/parks. I personally have a
Mickey pretzel challenge that basically requires me to eat at every pretzel stand I see. muchlove yay

Have they? Is there new merchandise I missed or an official beers around the world guide book? More info on the "official" beer tour please!

Disney has been taking a lot of queues from their fan base over recent years. Heck - the fan community drove the direction of Disney's entire internet presence. The progressive dinners along the monorail loop were a fan thing first. They've picked up on Instagrams love of the purple wall and are sprucing it up and even have merchandise talking about it now. A wall!

Let's see, what personal traditions do I have that Disney could profit from.

- Baths. DVC Rooms have some pretty sweet bath tubs. I often stop at Basin for spa bath supplies and take a luxury bath. Disney could easily turn something like that into a concierge add-on, or something you could purchase through the Enchanted florist.

Of course there is the famous monorail crawl that has been turned into Highway in the Sky which has drinks and dining.

All of my ideas would somehow involve adult beverages lol

Saturday April 7th is National Beer Day! It's the perfect time to take a stroll around World Showcase Lagoon and taste your way through some global brews. There is a lot of alcohol in this Drink Around The World challenge, but don't forget that Disney Parks are family friendly places. Think about taking on this list over two days, or in a group and sharing your drinks. Be sure to know your limits and drink responsibly. Now - on to the challenge!

That's not a Disney sponsored event though. When I was in Disney in November, none of the bartenders at Rose and Crown were even allowed to sign my "Drink Around the World" shirt so I don't think it's being formally promoted by Disney.

Oh! laugh Naw - that's not official. That was me needing content late Thursday night. I'm pretty flattered though that you thought it was!

Well, its not really a thing to be able to do, but an idea that I'm surprised that Disney hasn't capitalized on yet...

I ALWAYS hit the Werther's Caramel shop in Germany for fresh Caramel Corn.... AND I always buy the regular popcorn in the parks for snack... (And as a fan of Garrett's popcorn in Chicago... flavored popcorn and caramel corn are always big)

I'm kind of surprised that Disney hasn't done "specialty" popcorn flavors or spice mixes on the popcorn around the world of Epcot to to represent different flavors of the world.

Folks could do a caramel corn or popcorn crawl, just like they do a "beer crawl"

Disney can take a cue and try the "Drink Around the World Till You Puke" promotion. It seems quite popular on the weekends at The Food and Wine Festival. There could be a whole series; "Drinks Around the Monorail Till You are Looped", "Drinks Around Crescent Lake Until You Fall In", and the ever popular "Drink Like an Animal at Animal Kingdom".
