How do you guys feel about staying in Fort Wilderness? I'd love to try it sometime but we never have. We'd probably be more interested in the cabins than anything else.

Never been, but I'd totally do it.
Stayed in the cabins many, many years ago and loved it. They were roomy rustic and the kitchen facilities were quite up to date.

Was it just the two of you VL?

No, that was " PW" (prior wife) and three kids, the youngest of which is now in her 30's.
"PW" -- Never heard that one before!
I would really like to stay in the cabins sometime, but I'd like to have several days to spend at Fort Wilderness instead of having to rush off to the parks.
I've been over several times as a friend of mine loves staying there. I have never stayed there and really don't plan on it either. While I love visiting, it's just not me so staying there would not be my first choice. However, if one day I wind up having these outdoor loving little boys, that could change my mind. As for me, I'll take the tropical caribbean feel over that any day.
I would really like to stay at FW at some point, but the transportation out of that place is so time-consuming, I think I'd have to do it on a long trip.
I enjoy the atmosphere, though, and consider FW one of the only spots in Disney World that's "original."

I had to vote would never do it. I am just not a camping type person. I would love to go and see it though.
