You either register online ahead of time or fill in paper work at the gate. You will need ID anyway per the registration site. You have to have a date as to when you are going, too. So it seems like they are trying to stay on top of cheaters.
Man, I wish I hadn't already planned a trip to New Orleans at that time, I'd be taking advantage of this for sure. I hope they keep it going through 2010; I know where I'll be planning my winter holiday that year!
