Goofy's candy company

So we walk by Goofy's candy company all the time when we go to DTD but we have never really went it. I had no idea you could make your own snacks and they look so yummy. I am so down the next time we go Smile

Jess, Jess, Jess..... sarcastic

We love GCC! Ok, I LOVE GCC! It's a little pricey, but we always stop in and make our own whatever. Usually a first night activity. And with my liberal interpretation of scrapbooking, I'm not above bringing my sheet home and working it into my book silly

Jeff, what do you make when you go there?

I try to mix it up and do something different each time. Next time I am going for the rice krispie treat!

Luckily, Joe usually gets the 3 pretzel rods and can only eat one, so I get the other 2. SCORE!

Love this place! Are they really only a snack credit?! That would be a great deal!

We love GCC especially since we can all get something different and share, but the pretzels are everyone's favorite. So excited to hear that we can use our snack credit when we go in June. It's a must do on our list for Disney.

I feel like Downtown Disney is where all the best snack credit and counter-service credit values are. Which dining plan are you using?

I did some digging because I thought they were but I can't really seems to find anything that says "yes" or "no". I just know that they definitely USED to be..they might not be anymore. Either way I think it's still a really good price for what you get!

Perhaps this is how you could convince Jess to rough it at Fort Wilderness!

We are using the regular old dining with the one snack, one CS, and one sit down. What are some good counter service places and Downtown Disney?

You are killing me, I'm dieting for my trip so I can have all of these things. I LOVE the Pretzel rods dipped in milk chocolate with M&M's and carmel and white chocolate drizzle. YUM! I have never tried the apples but those look heavenly as well.

We do that too. We try to be extra-extra good for the weeks leading up to the trip. Which of course leaves us even more ravenous when we get there. It's the Table-Service meals that really get us though, more than the snacks. Do you have any ADRs planned?

As long as I don't look at food (hard not to do on this site), I'm okay, but I know it's worth it since the desserts are awesome. This year I made all of our ADR's already, wanted to make sure we could get in too all the one's we wanted. We are doing, Coral Reef, Cape May, Le Cellier (just my husband and I), Maya Grill, The Crystal Palace, Hollywood & Vine, Chef Mickey's and San Angel, but I am considering changing the last one to the new Mexican Sit down restaurant. Can't make up my mind yet. Any suggestions or changes we should make?

From what I've read San Angel is the better choice food-wise, but La Hacienda has the view. I haven't been to either in forever though so I'm not sure.

We did San Angel Inn... the one in the pavilion and we didnt like it at all. It was my wife, kids and my parents and every single one of us didnt like it at all, and the service was horrible. I got something spicy and the waiter would always be missing when I needed a refill. So I say avoid if your talking about that one. The view is cool and we were right beside the ride... but its one of those places where the food was so bad that it made the view not worth it.

Yeah... my food was runny from all of the grease from the steak... my wife actually didnt feel well afterwards. Dont know if it was the food or not... but she chalked it up to it. It was just an overall bad experience that probably sealed it for us to be honest. We were looking forward to it as well... but im glad you guys enjoyed it. I see the potential... just didnt work for us.... sad

That's a shame, we actually really loved it when we went last year and my husband wanted to go again. Sorry you had a bad experience there.
