Our friends over at the DFB have been keeping an eye on what appears to be a new walkway being constructed that will snake around the Seven Seas Lagoon and connect the Grand Floridian Resort with the Magic Kingdom. This potential walkway would allow for one to walk around the lagoon from the TTC, through the Poly, and Grand Floridian to the Magic Kingdom - if one really wanted to.
I'm very interested in how this project expands for a couple of reasons. First because of the need for a pedestrian bridge that will need some clever engineering as the electrical water pageant floats will need to be able to move under or through it somehow. This walkway could also open up potential new locations that one could watch the fireworks from. Finally, there have been internet rumors for a couple of years that the area behind Adventureland has been discussed as a good site for a potential new resort. This would be along that walkway. All in all I think it is certainly an area to watch.
The latest construction can be seen here.

Is that a bridge on a swinging arm I see in those photos?
