Greetings from Connecticut

HI everyone. I have been visiting "Walt Disney World for Grownups" for about a month now. I have commented on some of the articles posted. I finally decided to log in to the forum the other day. I'm still a "newbie" when it comes to Disney. I had visited the Magic Kingdom twice when I was younger and had the opportunity to visit last year for the first time in close to 30 years (before Epcot was open). I really enjoyed the trip and am going back this year. I have more time to plan this year. The opportunity came up last year 2 months before and all I had to do was book the resort and flight. My friends who I was meeting there already had everything else planned. This year, I made all the ADRs for our trip and have had fun planning and researching.

One question I have for everyone.... I made a banner with the countdown to my trip. How do I add it when commenting?

For now - 173 days to go!

The banner countdown should have a couple of links to choose from and the img one just paste that into yoru signature inyour account settings.

So what are the details on your trip?

I will be at Disney November 11 - 18 staying at Pop Century. My friends are flying down on the 13th. I am going a couple days early so I can go to the International Food & Wine Festival. Our ADRs are:

11/11 - Chef Mickey's (dinner)
11/12 - Tony's (dinner)
11/13 - Brown Derby (Fantasmic Dinner Package)
11/14 - Chef Mickey's (breakfast), Liberty Tree Taver (lunch), Ohana (dinner)
11/15 - Sci-Fi Drive In (lunch), Le Cellier (dinner)
11/16 - Yaki & Yeti (lunch), Boatwright's Dining Hall (dinner)
11/17 - Kona Cafe (breakfast), Via Napoli (lunch), Crystal Palace (dinner)
11/18 - Hollywood & Vine (lunch)

That's the spirit! Just pace yourself, Chef Mickey's & 'Ohana are both all you can eat! LTT for lunch is one of my favorites on property.

Welcome Smile and like my husband said we are going to be there the same time as you. So jealous you got an ADR for ohana. We tired but they were all booked up

Ohh my stomach is rolling with jealousy pains right about now!

Yum, it looks wonderful. I am assuming you are on some sort of dining plan? If you are a great tip is that many of the food booths at Food And Wine Festival take snack credits. We took an entire day and just snacked around the world. Food and Wine is a great time to go!

Hi JoAnn! Welcome! Love your choices for ADRs - Brown Derby is especially a fave! Do you plan to do anything other than the parks while you're here - like waterparks, Disney Quest, La Nouba, or some such fun?

HI Bella. Yes, I have the deluxe dining plan. I learned about using snack credits at the F&W festival last year. This year, I'll have double the snack credits for yummy treats.

So far, we are only planning on the parks and relaxing by the pool. We may do a tour but haven't decided yet. We saw La Nouba last year.

One more question. How do I had a picture? I went to "My Account" clicked on browse and selected a picture but I don't have an option to upload the picture. I hit save and the path to the photo I selected disappeared.

Ok, two questions. I have tried to add pictures to some of my comments but I keep getting the error message below. I checked and the pictures I am trying to add are smaller than 5MB and are .jpg files. Any suggestions?

sometimes it will say that... but the pic is uploaded. I have noticed it to, but if you go ahead and hit save... it posts just fine

JoAnn C - Have you had a chance to try and post a pic again? Brad put out a message to test the fix he put in place last week. I uploaded a pic with no problem. Hope it works for you. Can't wait to see what you have to share!
