Hacienda de San Angel

Saw these cool photos of what will become of Cantina de SAn Angel this Fall clapping

It'll be called Hacienda de San Angel, and there will be some great indoor and outdoor dining areas. I guess it's supposed to be part table service and part counter service. Looks cool:

Awesome! Thanks for sharing this update. We have a tour plan in Oct 2010 and really glad to find this stuff. "Hacienda de San Angel" looks like really worthwhile dining place. We will think about making dining reservation for our Oct trip.

Best Regards,

I'll reserve my judgment on the new place till I have tasted some of the food. The last one was a bust with worse food than a Taco Bell! Let's see what they mean by "fresh" Mexican cuisine, because the last one had pre-packaged stuff that they just reheated and served.

My guess is that it'll become like the Yak and Yeti quality, which has been utterly disappointing. This is one of those things where I truly want to be wrong.

Is Yak and Yeti run by the same folks, Zz? (I actually like the Yak and Yeti food, but am not wild about San Angel Inn, so I'm interested to see what they come up with here, too.)
