Halloween Horror Nights at back at Universal Orlando

It's that time of year again and Halloween Horror Nights at back at Universal Orlando!

Have you been to Halloween Horror Nights? Is it really scary? I don't do well with things jumping out at me. I've heard that there are no "safe zones" and the whole park is in play to get creeped out. What have your experiences been? Post pics if you have them!

I'm way to much of a baby for this type of thing. DH and I went to ValleyScare (the Minnesota theme park version of this) a couple of years back and I made it about 45 seconds into a scare zone before I shoved DH towards the zombies as a sacrifice and then ran off into the dark and fog with about 12 zombies chasing after me. No joke. MNSSHP for me, thanks!

Yes we have been a few times, we are planning another in our mega trip next month. Though tbh I don't hold out much hope at the moment, there aren't great reviews Sad

I LOVE Halloween Horror Nights... I went two years in a row when I lived in Winter Park, FL (sub of Orlando)... And IMO it is by far the best Halloween event out there... And I have been to many, many different haunted events.... You have to be ready to get scared... I had a friend who went with me and she was terrified of haunted houses.... She went into one and closed her eyes the entire time and then wouldn't go into any others with me for the rest of the night.... And there were A LOT to go in... All with different themes.... I wound up having to make friends in line or go in by myself! The makeup is fantastic... as it should be... It's Universal... And the acting is just as great... The entire park is decked out for Halloween and the actors don't just stick to the haunted houses... So beware... There are 7 different houses this year, here is the list:

AMC's The Walking Dead
Welcome to Silent Hill
Penn & Teller Newkd Vegas
Alice Cooper, Welcome to my Nightmare
Universal's House of Horror's
Gothic
Dead End

The last time I went was probably about 6 years ago... I don't know if it's gotten better or worse... But if you're into haunted houses... And you're going to Orlando in October.... It's not something that I would want to miss... I've been to the Six Flags haunted houses, and others around the country... I go to at least one a year.... And to this day nothing else compares.

I'm like you Kristen- I don't do well with things or people jumping out at me. I won't go into a haunted house.

My fear with the Horror Nights are the people that take it way too seriously or go a bit overboard trying to scare the bejesus out of people. Too creepy for me!!!

I am more a Disney Halloween party type. mickey
