Has anyone done the mini golf?

I've never done it before, but always get the coupon? Wink

Has anyone tried it?

I've done it before. We were looking for something different to do on a day we had no parks planned. It was fun..but..I mean..it was pretty expensive for mini-golf...so it's not something I think I would do again.

I agree with Bella. WE did it the first year we went in 2001 because we had the coupon thingie, and it was fun, but I would probably not do it again.

It seems like every time I go to Disney World I can't get the "must-do" stuff in. Even though I want to try the mini-golf sometime, it never seems to make the list.

We've done Fantasia, but not the one at BB. We like it, although it could use some updating. There are 2 courses - one themed, and one that looks like a real, miniature golf course, with greens and sand traps and everything. But the last time we were there, there was no sand in the sand traps. I'm hoping that they're working on it to spruce it all up a bit.

We'd love to do Winter Summerland one of these days. The theming at BB is so brilliant that I'm sure the mini golf is fun, too.

yay I love doing the mini-golf. I've done both courses.... and we have another coupon and will hopefully get to do one of the courses on this up coming trip too. It's fun to do at night so you're not dying in the Florida sun too.

Hi,

I've done both the Fantasia and Fairways (the one that looks like a real mini-golf course, which is fiendishly difficult; I think I shot a 150 on a par 72) at the Swolphin; as well as Wintersummerland (the Summer course) at Blizzard Beach.

The last time I played "real" golf I think I was shooting about 4 times par. My scoring partner kept saying I should cap myself at 3 over, but I figure you'll never see your progress that way.

We had passes for Fantasia Gardens (the Fantasia course). It was the first time my husband ever played min golf! We had a blast. With passes I would definately do it again. We would like to try one of the other courses for a different experience.

Update - I can't remember if there was sand Smile but the Fairways at Fantasia DEF looked better when we passed it a few weeks ago on the way to dinner at the Swan/Dolphin. I was so glad to see it looking better.

I love mini golf! We have coupons for it too, but I'm not sure exactly where it is or how to get there from pop.

It's a must do on our trips! We usually play Winter Wonderland but we headed over to Fantasia Gardens for the first time last trip and absolutely loved it! Not only did we get to explore Swan & Dolphin for the first time but Fantasia Gardens is a beautiful course! We have a riot every time we play and it's a nice break from the parks/shopping/crowds, no trip would be complete without it for us!

Fantasia and Fairways, We love it. We are very competitive with putt putt so we never pass it up. ok, we did on our November trip but I had us too busy with food and wine lol.

Fairways is very difficult even for my golf fanatic husband. But it was fun and challenging and I got a hole in one on one!!! My hubby did not! LONGEST round of putt putt ever!

Fantasia was fun and pretty much your basic course.

Can't wait to try the one at BB next trip.

the longest one was just over 100 if I remember correctly. Not sure why I took a pic of this particular one... It's not a course for beginners for sure.

How do get a golf ball out of a sand trap with a putter?

I've played real golf a few times; hit a 79 too. Mind you that was on the first four holes.

A word of warning: Fantasia Gardens is not "close to EPCOT". I didn't think it looked that far away, so after walking around EPCOT for the whole morning and most of the afternoon, I suggested that we walk over and play mini golf. In August. At 3:00 in the afternoon. On a scorching 90+ degree day. Benn was not pleased. I loved the course and would go back again. I'd even walk there again, but I pouched Benn's limits that day. It was more than 4 years ago and 6 trips later, I have yet to succeed at talking him into another round of Disney golf. Oops.

The funny thing is that now, he will walk with me from Hollywood Studios to EPCOT and back without batting an eye, but he was in rather poor physical shape when we took that first trip and the memory of what he called "the baton death march to mini golf" is still burned in his mind.

Avoid my mistake and take boat (or bus if you're at a non-EPCOT/DHS park or DTD) to Swan & Dolphin and walk to Fantasia Gardens from there. Of hit up the course at Blizzard Beach. We didn't get to try that one, but it's very easy to access via the Blizzard Beach bus.

It's just like the course material, just a different color. There is the "rough" which is thicker but still able to putt!

I love Disney mini golf! I think I prefer Fantasia gardens over winter Summerland.
