Hi everyone my name is Vinnie and I live in Cave Creek AZ. I've been going to WDW since 1991 and have in 77 trips. I own a travel agency called Mickey's Travel that I started in 1994. Some of my interests other than Disney are music, football, beer, Star Trek just to name a few.
My most memorable Walt Disney World moment was in November of 1995 when we were the Grand Marshals of the parade. Funny story too, as we walked into the park I pointed out Ray, who is the Mayor, and told my wife he's the guy that picks the Grand marshal for the parade. She tells me to go ask if we can be in the parade. I'm blowing it off saying he's got someone by now. She replies you always tell your clients to ask for something because you never know what will happen, it's Disney.
So we head over and introduce my self and pop the question. Ray said he already had a family for today and tomorrow. Then he looks at my two kids and adds that the family for the next day may be forced to cancel and if they do I'll call you by 8 am the next morning.
The following morning we waited and finally left the room 8:15 thinking they didn't cancel. I'm just about to close the door and the phone rings. My wife and I look at each other with huge smiles on our face and as I start to push open the door she body checks me into the wall and like Superman flies over the bed and grabbed the phone before the end of the second ring. We were in! It was the best day ever. My youngest was 3 and he doesn't remember but we all had a great time.
