Hello :)

I'm new to the WDWFG forums so I thought I would say hello to everyone here. I love all things Disney and am lucky enough to live about an hour from the parks mickey

Welcome!

This place is great! And you are very lucky to live so close... I live in Ohio. So we only get there for one week out of the year... heh. Enjoy it here!

Unfortunately I don't get to go all the time because I no longer have an annual pass. But we get to visit the parks a few times a year and we frequent Downtown Disney quite often. mickey

I always wondered... when you live that close, do you like.. plan events to celebrate at the restaurants in the parks/resorts?

like.. oh, my birthday is coming. instead of going to the Outback, lets go to the Rose and Crown!
cuz I totally would do that.

Do you ever just hang out in the resorts? I'd probably just go chill there if I didn't have a pass.

We do go to dinner at Disney a lot for special events...the Kona Cafe and Cape May Cafe are two favorites even for just a fun dinner. And if we are there for dinner we do spend a little bit of time just walking around the hotels and people watching Smile We've also done La Nouba one year for a birthday and loved it! And I love going to a movie and dinner at Downtown Disney.

I don't have any specific trips planned (except for next February when I want to do the Princess 1/2 again) but I'm sure I'll be making a day trip in the next month or two mickey

I've never seen a movie in the DTD theater because it's hard to justify the time. Is it worth checking out?

Honestly it's not any different than going to any other movie theater...we just tend to go when we want to "get out of town for the day or afternoon" and it's easy because you can do dinner, a movie, and shopping all in one place. It is a nice theater and a great option for a rainy day mickey

Hi Kayb! Welcome welcome! I'm local-ish, too. We're so glad that you're here!

We love to celebrate special events at the 'World too, and we usually make a point to see "special" movies at DTD, like the upcoming "Pirates."

So, you've run the Princess? That's awesome! Did you enjoy it?
