Hi Annie -

I'll be at WDW from May 12th - 19th. I'll be staying at POFQ for the first time clapping

Here's my itinerary -

Tuesday, May 12th - My Arrival day
(I'm trying to go stand by on an earlier flight so that I can get in early enough to visit a park before dinner)

Check in at the fabulous Port Orleans French Quarter

Disney's Hollywood Studios
Sanaa* - Dinner (with Aubriee)
Carriage Ride* - POR - I figured this would be a great way to see the resort!

Wednesday, May 13th - My 41st birthday
I can not tell you how excited I am to be spending my birthday in the MK!!! It's my favoriest park

Magic Kingdom
Crystal Palace* - Birthday breakfast

EPCOT
Le Cellier* - Birthday dinner

Jellyrolls*

This is going to be my BESTEST birthday so far!!!

Thursday, May 14th
Animal Kingdom/Disney's Hollywood Studios
Flame Tree BBQ - Lunch (the last time we ate there, a lizard dropped down from the ceiling onto our table!! Let's hope he's moved on laugh )

Brown Derby* - Dinner - Fantasmic! package

Fantasmic!

Friday, May 15th
Disney's Hollywood Studios
Rosie's All American Cafe* - Lunch

Polynesian
Kona* - Dinner

Saturday, May 16th
EPCOT/Magic Kingdom
Cantina De San Angel* - Lunch
Pecos Bill - Dinner

Spectromagic*

Sunday, May 17th
EPCOT
Yorkshire Country Fish Shop - Lunch
Sunshine Seasons* - Dinner

Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure*

Monday, May 18th - spending my last full day in my happy place
Magic Kingdom
Casey's Corner* - Lunch
The Wave* - Dinner

Tuesday, May 19th - Departure day

Saratoga Springs Spa* - Hot Stone Adirondack Massage

Artist's Pallette* - Lunch

* - First time

I am soooo excited because this trip is filled with so many firsts -

- First solo trip
- First birthday spent at WDW (but hopefully, not my last)
- First time staying at POFQ
- First time dining at most of the restaurants on my list
- First time seeing Spectro

Thanks, Annie

I have always wanted to stay at POFQ but during previous trips, there was no availability. I was originally booked at ASMo and when I found out that POFQ was available, I jumped at the chance to stay there.

I am looking forward to taking it slower this trip. In the past I have toured commando style. I wanted to stay somewhere I could relax when I return from the parks. Looking at the photos of POFQ, everything looks beautiful, calm, serene and very relaxing.

I'm really looking forward to this trip!

And you're SO close to Downtown Disney--if you're a shopper like me, you'll be in heaven.

Hi Angela! Welcome to the boards! yay

Your trip sounds like a ton of fun. Le Cellier for b-day dinner is perfect. Cantina de San Angel is a really fun place to eat too, although as a Texan we prefer a different kind of "Mexican" food. silly

I can talk about the dining forever, I'm pretty sure that's 80% of the reason I go to WDW.

So what did you guys do about the lizard? Did he just run off?

I am a shopper but I am going to try to restrain myself.

laugh He actually just sat on the table - not moving. I think he thought if he didn't move we wouldn't see him. I started screaming (Ok, I was really freaked out) and eventually (after they stopped laughing) my sons shooed him of the table. I think I was still screaming as he scurried off laugh

Welcome to the boards!

It's your birthday, why restrain?!? biggrin

Also is Pecos Bill a favorite? I see it's one of the few places that's getting a return visit.

Hi Angela! welcome

I'm really impressed by all the new things you're trying. Did you have trouble convincing the boys to do that stuff in the past?

The restraint is due to the fact that this trip is a huge splurge. I plan to do some shopping but not a lot.

Pecos Bill is not necessarily a favorite. My CS choices are flexible, I'll probably stop and eat where ever I am laugh

Yes, alot of things I wanted to do, they thought was "corny". Not to mention my oldest DS likes to sleep in which meant I missed some rope drops

At their age, the only not corny are the thrill rides. They refuse to do any of the shows (although they enjoy Lights, Motors, Action and Indiana Jones) or watch any parades. So now, I get to see as many shows and watch all the parades I want clapping

Howdy, Angela!

I can remember my first solo trip to WDW, and I felt so free. You get so used to bypassing things that your regular companions don't want to do that, when you go all by yourself, it's like an entirely different theme park!

So, will you be getting in free on your birthday? birthday

Hi bali -

I purchased a package with tickets so I going to get the birthday gift card instead of the free birthday admission.

That's great--how much is the gift card? I can't figure out how this whole birthday thing works yet!
