Hello everyone!

Hello everyone! Long time reader, first time poster. I'm Courtney. My favorite Disney ride is either Space Mountain or It's A Small World. I'm happy to find the site as I haven't been to WDW in many years and it sure is different than 1 or 2 day trips to either DL or DL Paris. I'm taking my boyfriend and his brother for their first Disney trip this summer along with a friend who is an annual passholder. Looking forward to sharing my trip and learning some good tips from you guys!

Welcome. Do you know where you will be staying? You will have so much fun if you haven't been in a while.

Is there a story behind your user name?

We are going to be staying at Art of Animation in a Nemo suite!

My name comes from being a Teachers' assistant and a student teacher. I think almost every day in elementary we tell kids not to throw sand. My boyfriend now takes pictures of signs that say "please do not throw the sand" for me. I have quite the collection now.

Oh dear! What I meant was we go there for one or two days when we visit those places. I am actually from Edmonton, AB (Canada) but when we go to France, I always make at least a day trip out to DL Paris. It has been a while though(4years after going every year for a while). Disney in French is actually almost more fun for me because nothing translates easily so it kind of changes the stories! It is also fairly easy and not too expensive for us to fly there actually. I paid 600$ RT on a seat sale to Orlando (not counting room or park passes) yet I can pay $1800 RT with accommodations for a week plus a 2 day park pass to DL in Paris if I get a good flight.

We are going august 19-26. We're pretty much set, we even have our Dinning picked out. I think I am most looking forward to getting an Mickey ice cream bar funny enough. There will be 4 of us going so it will be an adventure.

Those 82 days will not come fast enough. We are taking a red eye flight down in hopes that will actually let me sleep (planes and cars are the only things that put me right to sleep with little effort) instead of me keeping everyone up and babbling how excited I am to be going to disney.

Another cool thing I have decided to do is recreate a photo from my childhood, frame both pictures and give it to my dad for his birthday.

That is such a great idea! He's going to love it.

I like the story behind your user name - you should post some of the pictures you've collected saying that. So far you and "didyoucall911" have my favourite names! laugh

I hope he does! I never know what to get him for his birthday or christmas so this will at least eliminate one of the two.

Here's my favorite sign picture (and the first that my boyfriend took for me)

The other few I have on this computer are from kindergarten classrooms or school field trips all with students in them so I shouldn't post them.

I plan on taking lots of pictures and writing a post just about the resort since we are all adults going.

That is about the sweetest thing I have ever heard. I just took some darling photos of my kids with Mickey ice cream bars. I think I'll try and recreate that over the years.

Welcome and welcome! I can't wait to hear about your trip, and you compare/contrast with DL and DL Paris! And Art of Animation! What are you most looking forward to?

You're picture idea makes me want to do the same with my first Disney trip! ...too bad Roger Rabbit doesn't make appearances anymore because I had one where I was hugging him so hard because he was my favorite.

I am looking forward to Push, Pipa and Wes the most. I am not a big food, pool or crowd person so most things don't excite me that much. I do love space mountain as well.
