Hello everyone!

Hello! I found this site through the article about Four Fantastic In Park Breakfasts at Walt Disney World (from Disney Food Blog's post roundup). My family's next trip to Disney World, which we do annually, is May 17-29 and I've been doing some intense planning recently. Mainly, trying to figure out where to eat. You see, in the five years or so of our annual WDW trips, we've never put much thought into the food. We would just get standard lunches like personal pizzas or turkey sandwiches (good, but not the most exciting things). Last year, we really got into the food at the World Showcase and tried: tacos at La Cantina, School Bread at Via Napoli, and Wood-Fired Pizza at Via Napoli. Shortly after that trip, I found "Disney Food Blog" and "Eating WDW" and starting reading about all the amazing things that we have been missing! So, this year, I've started to make a list of all the amazing restaurants that I want to go. I'll be needing your guys' expertise to help me out, so that's why I'm here!

Vettelover: I like all kinds of food (especially Mexican and Italian) and I love Star Tours and Expedition Everest. Because of our large group size and effort to cut costs, we always rent a house outside of WDW property. It's a really nice place in a private gated community, which includes a private lake and beach. And for other things about myself, I love Star Wars, cooking, video games, scouting, and sports.

PirateGirl: Those trip reports sound great! I'd love to post a report on my trip once we get back! I always love taking pictures of my meals, anyways.

Kat and mrhub: Thanks!

Welcome, Ponkool4!

I love finding new places to eat each time I go, too. I'm always up for a new adventure where food is concerned. On our last trip, went went to Sanaa at AKL, and found the food fantastic! We love trying out restaurants from the different resorts...the theming, and the food, is always great!

But maybe if you're up for a little, but not too much, adventure in the way of dining, you could hit up a few of the WS countries and have an appetizer from each...maybe the ones you didn't get to try out last time. I've heard a lot of good stuff about Marakesh in Morocco, and the chocolatey desserts in France are ALWAYS awesome...they're expanding that little shop, actually, and will be serving more in the way of lunch-type stuff.

Can't wait to hear more of your plans as you start to focus on the Eating Part of your Disney Trip!! Welcome!

Nancy D: I love the idea about the countries! We will be trying UK for the first time, and the new Les Halles bakery in France. I've still yet to eat at Morroco, and I really want to, but I don't think we'll be going there on our next trip. For dessert, we'll be going to either Germany or Italy's Gelato stand instead of our usual (but loved) Kringla Bakeri og Kafe. And, lastly, we'll probably be going back to La Cantina in Mexico, but it's sort of a tradition for us to eat there.

Thank you everyone for your warm welcome! I already feel at home!
