Hello from Indiana!

Hi, everyone! My name is Trisha and I live in Northwest Indiana (about 30 miles from Chicago), but to me, WDW is HOME!

I grew up taking vacations to WDW, and I want to do the same for MY kids. I'm 33 and I have a 5 year old boy and a 3 year old girl, and we are currently planning our 3rd trip. We took the kids in '10 and '11 and I'm so happy to be going again this November!

In '10 we stayed at POP (for 4 nights). '11 was at POFQ (for 5 nights) and this year we are doing CBR for 8 nights! I can't wait.

This is going to be a bitter-sweet trip, though, because I have promised my husband that we wouldn't go again for 3 more years (when I will be done with nursing school).

If I could pick up and move to Orlando with my little family, I would. Smile

WDW definitely holds a very special place in my heart. muchlove

anyway, HI!!! I look forward to "talking" to people who love Disney as much as I do!

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone!!!

My favorite ride...hmm...that is a tough one! At MK it has to be either Haunted Mansion or Pirates. At Epcot, I haven't had the pleasure to ride Soarin' or Test Track yet, (just because we didn't have time on our last trip), but I love Spaceship Earth. I have to ride it on the way into the park and also on my way out! We have never been to AK, so I am looking forward to trying some new rides!

My favorite restaurant is a tough one, too! I usually love Teppan Edo, but it wasn't very good on our last trip, so it got knocked off the top of my list. My favorite quick service place is a tie between Sunshine Seasons and Columbia Harbour House!

As far as our plans, we are taking a longer trip than in past years (8 nights!), so I am looking forward to really just taking my time to enjoy things instead of rushing around to try to hit everything!

I have already made my ADRs. We are normally creatures of habit, so we decided that this trip we would eat at restaurants that we have never been to before! We are having:
Via Napoli
Coral Reef
Akershus (breakfast)
Tusker House (breakfast)
Whispering Canyon
50s Prime Time Cafe (this is the exception to the "new restaurant" rule. I have eaten here before, but the husband hasn't)
Boma
The Wave

I'm so excited to try all of these new places, especially Boma!

I love Boma, Via Napoli, Whispering Canyon and The Wave!

If you like sweet/tart cocktails, try the Italian Margarita at Via Napoli, it rocks! Their Arancini are also the best that I've had on property. Nom nom nom!

Hi Trisha and Welcome! I love your list of ADRs. And we LOVE CBR! I think you will really enjoy their pool area, and the grounds are so nice!

They also have fun boats to rent there, too. Do you and your family like to spend time at the resorts, or are you mostly go-go in the parks?

Thanks for the suggestion! I will have to try that Margarita! My mouth is watering just thinking about all of the yummy food that we are going to eat!

Thanks! I am looking forward to seeing the grounds of CBR. I think my kids are going to LOVE it! We love spending time at the resorts. We always spend one day just lounging around the resort and going to DTD. Usually that is the day in the middle of our trip. We need that day to recharge! Smile

Akershus is so neat!

Your 3 yo daughter will go berserk, but your 5 yo son will love it, too, because he'll likely get lots of special attention from the princesses, too!!

Hey a fellow Hoosier! I can't believe you haven't done the Animal Kingdom yet! It's my favorite. I feel like I really leave central Florida and am exploring the world! The Must See's there, imho, are Kilimanjaro Safaris, Expedition Everest, The Festival of the Lion King and Flights of Wonder (although many people may disagree with this last choice!) Hope you have a great trip.
