Hi all,
I'm new here, but not to WDW as my grandparents lived nearby. I have been going to WDW since it first opened--does anyone else remember 50,000 Leagues Under The Sea at WDW?
I am a HUGE Walt fan dating way back to the black/white days of Mickey Mouse Club every day at 5:00pm.
When I first retired I decided to treat myself to a real first class vacation--at WDW, of course--and spent 11 glorious days at the AKL on the deluxe dining plan. Back then the deluxe plan included all tours and 3 sit-downs every day. We did 10 tours (AND the Dolphin Encounter which was not included in the free tours), had 3 sit-downs every day, AND still managed to get in some rides!
My next trip is for the Food/Wine Festival. I can't wait as last year was my first during that event and we only got a little "taste" (pun intended!) of it. This year will be jam packed with demonstrations, tastings, special luncheons, special events, pin trading (ALWAYS!), and samplings of many national foods.
After reading many of the posts, this group sounds great and I can't wait to share my love of Disney with all of you!
