Help please! Wilderness Lodge Parking Questions

My DH best childhood friend just told us yesterday that he and his family will be in WDW from Feb 9- Feb 16(Yep, he told us the day he arrived he was going to be there! confused ) DH and I are only able to go for about 24 hours this weekend Fri-Sat night. Now I am scrambling to get things in order and plan the day around them and allow my DH as much time as possible with his oldest friend.

Now onto my questions that I hope some of you may be able to answer for me.

Can you park at WL for the day is you aren't staying there?

As of right now we are all planning to eat breakfast at Whispering Canyon Saturday morning and then take the boat to MK. Will DH and I be able to leave our car parked after breakfast at WL for the day? It would be roughly 10-7.

Also, if DH and I get to WL on Saturday and his friends decide they don't want to eat at Whispering Canyon, can we park at WL for the day anyway?

I would like to know if we could park there whether or not we eat there because there is a very good chance they might change their minds last minute. They drove to WDW for the week with absolutely NO plans- no FP+, ADR's or definitive park days.

I am OK with one "go with the flow" day at MK, but I don't want our car to get towed, or get into any kind of trouble from Disney! We definitely WON'T park at WL if it's only for people staying on property!

We just stayed at WL. We didn't have a car, but we did get a parking pass. So if your friends didn't bring a car, use their parking pass.

If they did bring a car, have them ask the concierge for advice. I'm sure accommodations can be made.

The parking pass they give out at the resorts is for parking at the parks. Your car should be fine. They will allow you in if you say you are eating there or just checking out the resort. Disney doesn't keep track of the cars coming in.

Yeah, Wilderness lodge will be no problem, the ones that are a bugger are The Poly because of the construction (you have to be staying there or have a reservation to eat, no exceptions) & Contemporary/Bay Lake. A lot of people try to park there to walk into MK without paying for parking, they are cracking down on that.

Thanks so much for the replies awesome

DH friends aren't staying at WL, they just wanted to eat there Saturday morning, and we are meeting them there. It will be much easier if we can stay parked there a few hours, since we'll already be there.

Now if DH friends change their minds about eating at WL, I don't have to worry all day about our car being parked at WL.
