Help us choose where to stay

What would you do (and why?)? All of these options fit into our budget. You can see in my signature where we've stayed before.

Well if you've only stayed in the WL once recently and it's your fav, what's the downside there?

Who is going on this trip (for instance, any kids? Elderly folk for whom walking might be an issue? Total number of travelers? etc.)

Am I reading the poll correctly that CBR + 6 nights at the poly is an option?

I voted for the Poly.

I'm so weak when it comes to that resort, and will almost always choose it over all others. No other resort gives me that "Disney" feel that is so crucial to having a magical stay.

Having said that, I'd like to add that you really can't go wrong with any of your options, but my vote goes to the Poly.

I voted Poly too! It brings back 30 years of memories with my family, and there is nothing like walking outside by the beach at night and looking across the lagoon at the lights of the Magic Kingdom and listening to the sounds of the lake and the monorail and watching the barge show and.....

CAN WE LEAVE NOWWWWWW????!!!!!?????

That's right. It's one of the more expensive options, but all of these fall within our general budget range. We could add a mod night onto the poly 7-night stay, but we're thinking we'd just decide to do a tour or expensive dinner with the extra money instead of switch hotels for a night.

I'm sort of confused:

Why are people voting for 7 days at the poly, when you could have 4 at cbr and 6 at the poly? You could get a 10 day trip and only lose one polynesian day, right?

Yeah, but the negative is that you'd have to stay at CBR. waiting biggrin

I gotta go with the 4 days at CBR and 6 days at Poly or BC.

Never personally stayed at Poly, but I can vouch for the Beach Club--it's gorgeous!

I voted for the Poly as well. If I had the money, that's where I'd be staying. I also think it's a very romantic resort for couples.

I always prefer 9 day trips to 7 day trips, you can usually get them with the same number of days off (5) so why not maximize your vacation time. Although I can see the argument that you need a few days to decompress.

Hi,

AKL Savannah view if you like animals.

For me, the downside to the Polynesian is that it's really dark, and hard to see to get around at night. I found that out when I was 30 minutes late to an 'Ohana ADR December 4, 2003 after taking the launch from MK. I got lost between the dock and the Customs House because I couldn't SEE! I know! I shouldda took the monorail. 'Ohana held my ADR.

Maybe I should change travel agents, but my travel agent has discouraged my staying in CBR because she thinks it is large and seedy-looking.

Beach Club is beautiful, but when I stayed there December 7-12, 2006, the weather was warm enough for swimming only on my departure day, so I never swam in Stormalong Bay.

Thanks, everyone, for your feedback so far. I'm shocked that nobody's chosen the FW Cabins--DW will be so let down! She'll get over it if we stay in the Poly, BC, or AKL though...

I chose WL for 10 nights. I like to "settle in" and not move rooms if I don't have to..plus I love WL!

Well, um, er.....in my case, I didn't read the options carefully enough, and I thought it was just a 7 day split stay between CBR and Poly. My bad.
