Hey Hey!

Hi guys!
New to the forum(obviously...), and excited for my next WDW trip in October for Food and Wine Fest! I don't have the means to get to Disney as much as I would want to, but you could say I'm a bit obsessed mickey
Psyched to start participating! I'm sure you'll see more and more of me as my trip gets closer Wink

We're actually staying off property (major sad face), because my sister has points from her credit card to get us every night free, so I guess I can't really complain about that.

We have an ADR for The Plaza for dinner on Saturday. We tried to get into Be Our Guest, and called AND got online the second we could, but no dice(as we sort of expected), so we're planning on going there for lunch.
We also have a breakfast res at the Whispering Canyon Cafe for Friday(our Epcot day). I'm the most excited for mickey waffles! And of course we're gonna try to eat(and drink! Wink ) at as many F&WF booths as we can!

Hi Megan! So glad to have you join us here one the forums - Welcome!

Free room nights are awesome - even if they are off property. I think you'll love Food & Wine Festival, it's one of my favorite times of the year to go to Disney. Have you taken a look at the menus for the festival booths yet?

I absolutely have! There is SO MUCH! Drooling already! And we got tickets for the 3D Dessert Discovery event- very excited about that!

Yeah the hotel thing doesn't bum me out too much- this was a kind of last minute trip, otherwise we would have saved up for something on WDW property. We are already planning on going again next year around the same time, and we've already started talking about what Disney resorts we want to book for then.

That's when we're going! Cool! Have you been before? I've been reading reviews of past years and it looks AMAZING! Most reviewers have mentioned the "mad dash" for a table when the doors open- hopefully that won't be that big of an issue...

No we were never there before, we didn't get the deluxe ticket, just the basic, the CM that was booking us really messed up our reservations. I never got a confirmation email for 2 days, so I called them back because the reservation wouldn't connect with MyExperience, here the first cast member spelled our last name wrong, really wrong and also didn't ask what level we wanted. So, they couldn't change the name without cancelling and didn't want to do that in fear of someone else snagging the reservations in that split second. So now our last name is "Gleglr" & we have the basic tickets. But the reservation number connects now. We will have to hookup there!

Oh wow that sounds like a mess! How did they not double check that name spelling lol! We just got the basic tickets as well, and from what I've read, the "sweet seats" tickets aren't that big a deal- the biggest perk is probably that you're assigned a table, therefore avoiding the crazy race for one.
And yes! I'm definitely down to meet up!

@ Magic Mirror, yes we are gonna fit in as many rides/attractions as we can! Like I mentioned before, this is a somewhat spontaneous trip, so we'll only be there for 3 days-1 day at Epcot, 1 day at MK, and one day for DTD, the boardwalk, and trying a restaurant or two at different resorts. I forgot to mention we also have an ADR for Kona Cafe!
And I have a million favorite rides lol! Ones that come to mind right now though, are Mission Space, Figment(although I'm a true fan of figment from the 80s/90s version of the ride), Soarin, Spaceship Earth....And at the MK Thunder, Space, and Splash Mountains, Philharmagic, Carousel of Progress...

@ Magic Day, Bummer! We didn't plan the the trip around 3DDD or anything, but we were really excited that it happened to coincide! There are plenty of events we wish we could do but can't- but we're gonna focus on and get pumped about what we CAN do lol.

Welcome, Megan!

October is SUCH a gorgeous time to visit, and F&W is FUN!

We got shut out of BOG, too, for dinner, and tried for lunch, but made the big mistake of waiting until around 11 to line up. By then it was SUPER long. We tried to squeeze in the Enchanted Tales thing BEFOREhand, and that was our downfall. So, learn from my mistakes and queue up early...I hear it's FANTASTIC!!! Smile

We're glad you're here!
