Hi

After stalking the site for a while i thought it was time to sign up. My name is Angela and I'm from Australia. I had my first overseas trip to Walt Disney World in April last year and now every day i'm dreaming of going back. Why does Disney have to be such a long plane trip away? So instead i get my Disney fix by checking out what's online and planning on my trip back, someday.

wow, that is a long way to travel! How long does it take? I hope you got to spend lots of time in the parks. I haven't been yet but am hoping to make it late next year.

Welcome Angela! Glad you've joined us! Good to hear that you got to make a trip to WDW. Where did you stay? How was your trip?

It's on my bucket list to make it to Australia one day. In fact, I considered studying there while in college. What part of Australia are your from?

Welcome!!! It is SUCH a long plane trip!!

What part of Australia are you from? I visited in late 2011 and fell in LOVE. Can't wait to go back!! Tried to smuggle a wallaby home in my suitcase, but he wouldn't cooperate.... laugh

Hello and Welcome! I am in Michigan and I am Angela too!
Whenever i find myself wanting to complain about a three hour flight to Disney,
I remind myself of all our Disney family who travel so much farther Puzzled

This is a great place to keep your Disney Magic alive until you return!
stars welcome stars

Thanks very much for the welcomes. I live in the state of Queensland, and i live in a town that's about 3 hours west of the state capital Brisbane.
It was like a 13 hour flight from Brisbane to LA, it definitely felt alot longer than that. We did San Diego, LA, Las Vegas/Grand Canyon and then onto Disney. We came home from Dallas which was like a 16 hour trip, which is apparently the longest direct commercial flight now. We stayed at the All Star Movies resort which was excellent, but unfortunately 5 nights weren't long enough there.

And JMUDukz i was seriously trying to work out how i could smuggle a squirrel from Disney home in my suitcase, you guys don't know how lucky you are to have such a cute animal just wandering around everywhere. I know where to get a wallaby from so if you ever wanna swap a wallaby for a squirrel you know where to find me laugh .

And yes everyone should come to Australia, its gorgeous and there so much to see and do, pity the flight is so long. Give it a while longer and the aussie dollar will have dropped which makes it cheaper for you guys.

Thanks again.

Sorry it's such a long plane ride. You'll have to stay longer next time.

Oh no.....I would need some medication to fly that long!!!! Mind you I am not afraid of flying, but I don't think I could fly that long! I get antsy on the three hour flight from NH down to WDW! The longest flight I have been on is a 5-6 hour flight to Salt Lake City for a nursing convention and to Las Vegas.

eek You have them in your yard! I'm so so jealous. Hmm we've only had a wallaby once in our yard a few years ago, but a 40 min drive to the Bunya Mountains and I'll get you one from there.

At least Qantas have a good entertainment system to keep you entertained. And a clock and map to track your progress of the flight and where you are.
