Hi all! I just found this forum today and I am so excited to meet more Disney people! I am on disboards under Sugarlumples, if any of ya'll are on there. I am not terribly active on there and this forum already seems more comfortable to me.
So, introductions...I am an Alabama native and Auburn University grad living in New Hampshire with my husband and our three cats. We are childfree. I am a Disney fanatic and my husband tolerates my obsession, but is not a Disney person. He really does enjoy going to WDW though. Other than Disney I enjoy baking, online shopping, expensive purses, photography, collecting salt and pepper shakers and vintage Avon bottles, reading, flamingos, traveling, the color pink, and Auburn football - War Eagle! I work as a business analyst within IT for a large insurance company.
My Disney introduction...I went on many childhood trips with my family, but definitely went through my "too cool for Disney" phase and then my "I'm too poor to take vacations" phase while in college. My husband and I had a Disneymoon in 2008, which rekindled my unhealthy love for Disney. We have been back in 2010, 2011, and will be back in February 2012 (28 days!). I have two Disney tattoos, a Mickey head outline on my right foot and a Minnie head outline on my left. I love them a lot.
We have stayed at Pop, CSR, and AKL during our recent trips. We will be returning to Pop for our February trip; love that resort! My favorite park is Animal Kingdom and my husband's favorite is Hollywood Studios. We are total ride junkies, so we love riding the coasters a lot. My favorite rides are Splash Mountain, RnR, Tower of Terror, Dinosaur, Kilimanjaro Safaris, and Expedition Everest. My husband loves RnR, teacups, Expedition Everest, and Dinosaur.
Let's talk food. My favorite TS restaurant is Boma, but my absolute favorite dessert is the banana foster bread pudding at 'Ohana. Bread pudding is my favorite kind of dessert and the one at 'Ohana is the best I have ever had. I seriously dream about it. My husband loves 'Ohana (meat sweats anyone?) and also Boma. Our favorite CS place is definitely Tangierine Cafe in Morocco. Must-have snacks are Dole Whip floats, Disney popcorn, cupcakes from various locations, school bread, tie dye cheesecake, turkey legs, and cinnamon rolls from Main Street bakery. Yummm! Can you tell I have a bit of a sweet tooth?
Sooo that's me. Bless you if you read all that. Can't wait to chat more!
