I'm originally (a long time ago) from Michigan, so I definitely understand being ready to get out of the cold. This winter is by far, the worst we've had since the late 1970s.
I *do hope* you've been able to find helpful suggestions that are located all throughout the forum. Folks have contributed *tons* of wonderful information.
To your point of spending more time at the resort - I would definitely get the refillable mugs, at least if you're a coffee drinker like some of us
