Hate to admit this, but I don't even REMEMBER the potatoes, so I can't imagine I'll miss them much. I remember loving the shrimp and chicken wings, as well as the meats and dessert.

As long as our server turns out OK, I can't imagine I'll be too upset...

'Ohana has just about the best dessert on property IMHO. biggrin

The dessert is probably good enough to justify a mediocre meal!

So excited -- Caitie's bridal shower invites went out, and we're already starting to get stuff on our Disney honeymoon registry! Family friends got us an increment on the photo pass and the bridal/groom ear hats!

Woohoo!

So can't wait!!!

Yeah - it's actually really cool. You register for things like helping pay for hotels, dining, merchandise, money to spend in the parks etc. We registered for things like Disney flatware, a cookbook, drinks at the hotel we're staying at and so on.

If you want to look, it's at disneyhoneymoonregistry.com

My name is Jason Flum, so if you want to look at our registry, just search my name and you can see what we picked (and if you want to buy us something, even better. I'm kidding mickey )

That's very cool, Jason. What a great idea. I've always thought it would make sense to be able to register for honeymoon costs.

That's a great idea, Jason! How did you guys hear about it?

Also, just to let you know, some friends are celebrating their anniversary in WDW right now and are getting free champagne, congratulatory certificates, and special treatment all over the place! You guys are going to have such a great time.

Caitie found out about it - probably through WDW TOday, knowing her.

Do you think people would get suspicious if DW and I started getting divorced and remarried 2 times per year so that people could subsidize our WDW trips?

Haha - that's great! I was thinking that for all the times we'll go this is the only time we get this!

Possibly. Maybe do a few strategically placed public fights and go for a divorce every couple of years laugh

OR--here's the silver bullet: Vow Renewal! biggrin

So our wedding is fast approaching - only seven more weeks! Caitie is having her first bridal shower today (this one's in Ohio, next week's is here in NJ) and we're hoping for some good Disney swag from our registry - well, I am, I think she's happy with "regular" stuff too mickey

I'll post on here later if we get anything good.

Is there anything you're particularly hoping for?

Well, Caitie will have to give the pictures if there are any, but apparently there were a LOT of kitchen things - blenders, silverware, waffle makers, etc. - we got some food stuff like a belgian waffle maker, smores maker, milkshake maker (because apparently I'm not fat enough - and believe me, I am!). We got a memory foam for our bed which was one of the top items we wanted. I can't even remember all of it, but it was a pretty nice sized haul!!

As for Disney stuff we got 30 dollar dining certificates for Marrakesh, Ohana and Le Celier (we're on the dining plan, but we can use that for drinks and appetizers!) and 50 dollars in "fantasy funds" -- have no idea what we're going to use it for yet (we're open to suggestions - the money is meant to be spent on a "special" experience or something extra - not really souveniers or food). Of course we might end up with more at her shower here next week.

We're hoping, as far as Disney goes, to get some of the photo pass paid for, though really anything helps! mickey

We don't really have "top items" on the Disney registry. We are getting the Bride and Groom ears, so that is exciting!

i have NO ida how to use the fantasy funds...if anyone has an idea i would love to hear....uh I mean read it!

Sounds exciting! People really do like to stock kitchens, don't they? How many times do they suppose you're going to make s'mores? Laughing out loud

Hmm...$50 fantasy dollars. I think I'd see what this week's shower brings in. If there's a little more, I'd go for an Illuminations cruise.

That's about the right amount to cover the balloon ride, right?

We actually didn't register for the Smores maker...BUT we have tried several ways to make them...so we will probably use it often since we are dorks!

I love all the kitchen stuff, I enjoy cooking and want to start baking too!

The Illuminations cruise would be nice, but we are already seeing it from a dessert party...but we could see it again!

The balloons may work if I am not too scared to do it!

That'll be great when you have kids, too! You can have "camp-out" nights in the living room and make smores clapping
