Is Hoop-De-Doo still a Must-Do?

Do you guys think Hoop-De-Doo is still a must-do? I've been reading some non-plussed reviews lately. Does everyone still think its worth the price of admission?

The reviews I'm reading still put it at a must-do -- at least once. I think it's great for kids or large groups.

I would consider it a must do as well, when we went on our trip before last, It was just about the best time I have EVER had at WDW. That is besides the Illuminations cruise we were invited on with mrhub and scrappyand their friends.

Would you guys say it's a bad choice for introverts?

I would love to hear more about this....thinking about doing it in the fall?

Does anyone have any Trip Reports or suggestions?

We may do it next year when our daughter is just a tad older. I loved it when we went... But last time I went was probably 8 years old or so. It's a table service sit down all you can eat style place with a show. It's just. Real cool. Pricing is based on how close you want to sit to the stage too.

So do you think toddlers would be too young to enjoy?

It's corny, It's cheesy, It's out-dated, and I LOVE IT! I have to see it every time I visit. It's like a Disney entry for my family. You can't help but stomp and sing along!

I've gone to Hoop Dee Doo on 4 of my 5 trips to WDW. and I will continue to go every time! It's not the food... it's pretty good.. but it's not like..'Ohana caliber. I think it's the whole atmosphere of it all. It really is just a fun time!
The actors can tell if you're willing to play along or if you'd rather just watch.. also, where you sit kinda decides how involved you'll be. The biggest party I've gone with was 4 people and it was a blast.. but I did notice some larger groups that really seemed to be living it up! (The beer and sangria is all you can drink as well lol)

The show is cheesey, the jokes will make you groan before you laugh, and the food is all you can eat... But everyone I've seen comes out of the show smiling and laughing.

If you are able to wait to go to the latest show they do, I'd go to that one...the jokes get a lil more "colorful" (but still Disney--dont worry), and they do a lot more ad-libbing.

One more note:
On all of my trips, I've had the same actor as Six Bits.. and he is HILARIOUS! the star of the show for us! I had great seats last time and managed to snag him for a photo op on his way backstage!

I guess it depends on your toddler. Our little one will sit through a whole Blue Jackets Hockey game, and sat and loved The Imagination Movers when they were here. So I think she will sit through it. Other than that... I guess it would depend. All I know is that my daughter stands a better chance of sitting through it versus my 8 year old son... lol
