Hopeless Romantic..

Here's my question..How should I go about it without causing to much fuss in the dining room..Hit me me your romantic ideas please.. date

Just give it to her at the table...I don't see it becoming a big fuss unless you stand on the chair and shout it from the rooftop.

I, personally, would not do it during dinner. Don't you have an ADR at the Cali Grill? When you step outside to watch the fireworks (Can you do that there or is that a DVC thing?) give it to her then or during the fireworks at the Poly beach.

If you really wanted to do it at dinner, you could have the waiter bring out the ring on a plate and they can write something fancy in chocolate on the plate. I knew someone that got engaged at Fulton's that way...

If you're going to give her the ring in the restaurant, I think this is a great idea.

If my DH were giving me an anniversary ring at WDW I'd like him to do something romantic in one of the parks. Maybe, give me the ring during one of the fireworks shows or at Cinderella's wishing well. Give it to her on the ferry over to MK, or on the safari at AK. There are so many unique ways you could do it!

You could give her the ring at any restaurant back home, even though I know WDW restaurants are special. But this is your only opportunity to give her the ring inside one of the WDW parks that you love so much. For me, that would make the ring, and the memory, more special.

Do you have any plans to stop by Riverside on your trip? It seems I once heard about a special bridge over there. Otherwise, are there any specific places that are special to her? Or both of you?

Oh Gosh, Don't let her drink it by accident! eek

And, I've always thought of that bridge as more of a wishing bridge, not just a get pregnant bridge.
Any plans to try closing down MK? A lovely view of the castle during the good night kiss would be lovely.

I agree with the others. First thing that popped into my head as far as what I would find incredibly romantic and special, was Cinderella's wishing well during fireworks. Give her a coin and tell her to make a wish, then present the ring after she does and say, "I don't have to, mine's already come true." Private but special.

This is a great idea, unfortunately they close off the walkway behind the castle during Celebrate the Magic and Wishes. Since the Wishing well is in the middle of the walkway, this scenario is impossible. BUT I think it would be just as romantic to do this anytime, not just during fireworks!

Ah Man! I forgot about them blocking it off!

Love this cake and if you rig it up with the waitstaff/cms, they will put it in the top of the cake so as the cake somes so does the sparkle on top. Of course she has to lick off the cake......still a shocker. If you give your camera to cms prior, they will even snap the pic!

I like the idea of the dinner presentation. But, that might be because I love food and anything associated with it, so presenting me with something sparkly along with food is pretty much the height of romance in my book. laugh If you go that route, when you set it up with the restaurant, make sure you request a table to the side, or out of the way. Artist Point is a gorgeous space, but it's a tad bit....cavernous. If you're seated in the middle of the room, it can diminish the romance factor a bit.

Another thought is the boats that cruise around Bay Lake between the resorts. They run until 11pm-ish, I believe, and it's fairly easy to get a boat to yourself (and the skipper, of course) later in the evening.

I really love the Wishes! idea too. Although, I would suggest waiting until right after the show, rather than during. Picture the finale, then you tell your bride "Would you look at that, my wish came true!" or something like that. It will also mean that the lights are turned back up...all the better to admire her new bauble. muchlove
