How cold is it where you are?

It seems like the whole country is under weather warnings today! We've got ice all over the roads, and it's not supposed to get much better until Friday. How about you guys? Everyone staying safe?

Vettelover - I am SO glad you qualified that - because the alternative reading as your wife cast in the role of monster is pretty hilarious. (No disrespect intended. I just love how we sometimes say things we don't mean, just because of the order of the words. Good catch on your part! awesome )

It's been OK here..it's been around 45-50 each day. However this cold business has gotta stop. I can't have anymore snow or my WDW trip will be pushed back.

You're getting what we had earlier this week -- GORGEOUS weather, then we were plunged into a high of 20 degrees F! ANd the wind chill is bringing it down to about 0. Brr! I can barely type for the hypothermia! laugh

Hi,

In case someone misinterprets Pegosaurus' double post, by (several degrees above) zero she means the Celsius temperature scale. Here in New Jersey there is a foot and a half (450 mm) of snow on the ground with snowbanks of up to 10 feet (3 meters) high. Because of alternate thawing and refreezing, there are several patches of ice. Today, weather forecasters predict rain with a daytime high temperature of 47F (8.5C) and an overnight low of 24F (-4.5C), which should produce skating-rink conditions for the Thursday morning commute. What fun! eek

We've just shut down the whole city. It's pathetic. We get a little ice and we just don't know how to deal with it. Oddly I haven't been doing anything productive with my time, just hanging out.

Dsoup - forgive me - but where are you again?

We're unseasonably warm down here. It's stupid actually - I went to MK on Tuesday dressed in long sleeves and jeans and started sweating - something I am VERY MUCH against (the sweating, I mean.) Time to drag out the shorts I guess. The blizzard must have sucked up all the cold air or something.

Bahahahahahahaha! But seriously, I would trade you. Well, for a day or two, anyway. It is a pain to bundle the little ones and walk around dressed like the Stay-Puff Marshmallow girl. beach I have a confession to make: I mostly live in FL to be near family. The rest is just (buttercream) icing.

We finally got back above freezing and most of the snow and ice melted. I'm starting to be glad for it though, because it's a mad house here now with all the Super Bowl fans free to run around like crazies.

Hi,

so DD is female? 56F (13.5C) is SUPER cold? It is to laugh. Try 7F (-14C) in Jersey on January 24, 2011; or -13F (-22C) where my aunt lives in Winterpeg, Manit'scoldhere (Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada). Then DD hits us with 80F (26.5C)? waiting

I believe Chris is in Southern FL. They hate cold weather down there even worse than we do Smile

Jim, yes, we Californians and Floridians are bona fide wimps when it comes to cold weather! I think I want cold, but then it's 50 degrees, and I FREEZE!

yepyep.. female here.. Donald is just my favorite character. it's going to be a warm week here.. ugh...too early for that.. today was 73, tomorrow will be 75.. then we're gonna hit 80 again!
The coldest weather I've ever been in was a trip to New York City... it was 19 degrees and the wind chill brought it down to 10? something like that. I thought I was going to die. Humans werent meant to live in weather THAT cold!! I was plugging around in a giant parka like Nanook of the North!!
Cold to ME is anything under 65 degrees!!
Right now, it's 10:20pm and it's 56 degrees and I have a space heater on lol!

Cdub, you need an "exasperated" smiley. Maybe this one will do waiting

Yes, I saw that a friend near Austin yesterday (teacher) was out on a snow day for the second time in a week. I envied her - she had big plans to read and sit in bed all day (presumably pj-clad.)

Um, too warm here too, DD...
