How did I miss that.?.

Lol...I met a friend today in my little hamlet who is going back to WDW in October next year, leaving a few days after we go.Anyway their last trip in 2013 was their first July trip ( never again ) and they are so looking forward to the F&W festival as they never knew it was on until they got there...What?...Are you kidding..Got me thinking..Have you ever missed out on something before that you've never tried before..Like a Dole Whip or a restaurant everyone raves about ( Wolfgang at Marketplace comes to mind ) or even something like " The midnight kiss " ( which I still haven't seen ) ...I remember telling friends about upstairs seating at CHH..They had been going there for 3 years and never knew about it..So have you any secrets that we mortals may have missed.?...I forgot to check google search in case this has been asked by myself or anyone in the past but today's encounter made me laugh..Like the German woman who asked a CM at Caseys " So where is this Cinderella's castle." .... eek

We always miss something, which is good, because then you have to go back. And I have a long list.

Our first family trip, the Christmas decorations were up. Will have to go back at some point during that time, because we didn't know about all the lovely gingerbread creations. That one still gets me.

Still haven't tried a No way Jose sundae at Beaches and Cream. Of course, the kids would rather try to tackle a kitchen sink.

And, while I have seen quite a few Kisses Good Night, I've never made a rope drop.

Not for me but my boys keep complaining we've never made it to Earl of Sandwich! I know my one major problem with Disney so much food so little time! Next trip we're going to try and do at least 4 new places to eat!

Oh my gosh I have missed *so* many things, and I've been going as long as they've been open. laugh

I still haven't eaten at Le Cellier, or any of the French Table Service, or Victoria & Alberts. I haven't done an Illuminations cruise, or had private dining at the Grand Floridian, or gone for tea! My list is pretty huge.

I'd love to do tea, but in the words of the Watchmaker my boys would have me walking the plank at POTC. Just waiting for them to get older waiting waiting waiting waiting

I got a late start - being 21 on my first trip and all - but I have such a long list...

I've never seen the fireworks from the California Grill, or enjoyed a beverage at the bar in the Polynesian. I've never tried a dole whip, or completely one of the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom quests (though I've started many). I've only eaten at a handful of the amazing restaurants inside of Epcot, and I still have yet to find one that I love at Hollywood Studios... Which reminds me that I've never done the drawing experience at HWS also!

I've never walked under the castle and seen the mosaic tiles... *sigh*

So many things!!!

I never knew about the Lapu Lapu until I joined here! I also didn't know about the mural in the castle. These things are both on the top of my to do list for August. Oh, and I didn't know about PUSH last time but sadly that's not going to happen now. sad

Right?! We always seems to travel with people who aren't interested in slowing down and enjoying the simple things - like a delicious pineapple treat or the amazing artistry of the mosaic.

After my first trip so very many years ago (XD) I picked up a bunch of books on the parks and their many special little secrets - like the fact that the golden paint on the carousel isn't paint at all - it's actually gold! Or that the mosaic faces of the two step-sisters are both green and red respectively to represent envy and wrath! There are so many wonderful little treats all around the parks... But you really do need to slow down to see them Smile

We hadn't had a Dole Whip but cleared that up last time (one time and done).
We didn't know about Winnie the Pooh or Fantasia but cleared that up last time as well.

We haven't been to the Enchanted Tiki Room and will cover that this upcoming trip.
I want to see a vet procedure at the Animal Kingdom (DH will have to stroll while I watch...that kind of things grosses him right out)
I didn't know there was a make your own rice krispy treat place until recently. Determined to hunt that down!
