Here's one I only hear in the greater New Orleans area..

Going shopping for groceries = Making Groceries and we use buggies not shopping carts laugh

Making groceries?? I like that, the only thing I make is a grocery list!

If it is starting to get cloudy, I say "it's coming up a storm"

Oh and the aluminum foil... I pronounce it tin foil!

How about these...Worcestershire (as in the sauce) or Leicester (as in Square)

Now I pronounce them - Woostersheer and Lester. I have heard some VERY odd pronunciations of them both, especially on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives!

We say worster-shister-shy-er and Lie-chester... Us Americans ain't used to dem English words laugh Bahahaha!!!

I also say woostersheer but I would call it Lie-ster. Tin foil is here too.

Oh we don't call them chicken wings or Buffalo wings...they're just plain old "wings".

New Englanders know how to pronounce those words right. Wooster and lester, which makes the sauce woostersheer.

The cart you push at the grocery store? Shopping Cart
Where you get a drink of water out in public? Water Fountain
Carbonated Beverage? Soda
A store where they sell alcoholic beverages? Liquor Store
