How Do You Find UO Employees?

I was thinking that I would probably visit Universal a bit more if it had a bit of magic. The first thing that comes to my mind about the place is that the employees seem to be at least primarily High School/College kids who aren't that into their job.

A lot of the same kids seem to be at Disney, but there they've either been chastised enough, or are hoping to move up enough that they manage to be a bit more enthusiastic. Have I just had back luck at Universal?

I think a lot of the people who work at Disney REALLY want to work at Disney, and that makes all the difference. UO seems like the place you go when you don't get the job you really want at Disney. Maybe that sounds harsh...

I don't know if it's so much that as the people who work at Disney want to be in entertainment! While the people who work at UO are looking for a job while they're in college or over the summer.

Perfect analysis.

The UO guys also have a harder task ahead of them. I don't have any of the fondness for their characters that I have for Disney's.

i honestly find uo workers a bit off-putting. i have had several experiences where they were very rude and disinterested and they also do typical teenager stuff where they cluster and chat as opposed to paying attention to what they're supposed to be doing.

I do think that's one of the more frustrating thing about UO. I'm not sure that there's any way to fix it though. If you're willing to work hard for not much pay, then you're probably working over at WDW. I'm sure that's a bit of an oversimplification and I'm sure that a lot of them do try hard, but you certainly get the impression. I also think it's more of a problem at the entry level stuff. The characters and entertainers at UO seem a bit more "into it."
